That seems like something Mr. Howell would do.

Kings have been bottom 5 in Assist % every year since Westphal took the job. (via hoopdata.com)

The supposed trade demand was leaked to the media by Paul Westphal himself.

Boy, Demarcus' impact is far reaching!

Westphal got Kuestered. This was inevitable though, his players seem to have tuned him out a long time ago.

Cousins will be on his best behavior for the rest of this season. The real question is how long he'll sustain that.

He reminds me of Ron Artest in his Indiana days.

So you are saying if we had drafted him, last year we could have got rid of Kuester after the first seven games?

Westphal works better with veteran players as he has always been very loose and not really structured in coaching and strategies. This team needs someone else, and Cousins may just be what Rip was last season. Lets see how long can he stay on good behavior. Big game tonight with 19 pts and 15 rbs as his team comes back from being down 21 in a half time to win it against Milwaukee.

I watched the Kings game last night against the Bucks. DeMarcus Cousins plays hard. He fights for every rebound, when he gets the ball, he bangs hard and scores. He is what this Pistons fan has missed every since Ben Wallace went to Chicago.

Marcus Thornton does not pass the ball. He makes Tyreke evans look like Steve Nash. I can see why Cousins was frustrated with their system. The Kings had a great 3 on 1 break with Thornton leading the charge. He went right at the defender and made a crazy circus shot reverse layup. He never passed the ball.

Jimmer looked pretty good. Seemed like Jimmer and Cousins were in sync and working together until Cousins fouled out.

I don't think that we can mount a scrubstantial offer to pry Cousins away.

If Marcus Thornton and Will Bynum played together, they'd each foul-out trying to steal the ball from each other.

Cousins has the ego the size of Texas. When you have team mates whispering to the media how unprofessional the guy is and how he is disruptive there is a huge problem in that locker room. His team mates don't like him much. Firing the coach so quickly shows how spineless the organization is and how clueless they are by giving in to Cousins. It also shows they don't know what it takes to put a winning product on the court. It would be different if Cousins was comsistently putting solid numbers up and the team was winning games then I guess you could make excuses for the behavior, but they are losing. Cousins is not a great player and will not be great if he can't be coached.

Jason Thompson and Isaiah could be had for a much cheaper price with out the headache.

Gores is pouring tons of money into the Palace. Why not just build a separate locker room for guys like Cousins? His teammates wouldn't have any involvement with him except on the court. As a disciplinary tactic, you could force players into his locker room if they misbehave.

Or, perhaps he creates three separate lockkerooms: One for starters, one for reserves, and a third for guys in the doghouse. Amenities would be different for each.

Players would have to move back and forth between lockerrooms based on their current status...which would be assigned by lee356, of course.

That typically is the case. Less talented players are often cheaper.
