I sure am. And I'm sure Joe-D is (he LOVED him in the draft last year). I don't care about the headaches. Talent is talent. Youth is youth. Size is size. Potential is potential. Frank seems to relate well enough to players. Joe-D relates well enough to players. Maybe things just aren't quite right in Sac Town?

Bottom line, he really, REALLY fills a need for us. And the upside of the deal could be phenomenal (compare it to other options??). I'd give up just about anything we have for him, excluding Brandon Knight, Greg Monroe and our 2012 1st round draft pick.

    Is that possible?

Has there ever been another player on his rookie contract who demanded a trade? If this guy can't hack it in Sacramento, who is rebuilding, what on earth makes you think he'll behave here?

That being said, if a package of Daye + Maxiell is good enough for Sacto, I say go for it. Throw in 2013 and beyond draft picks to sweeten the deal. Worst case scenario we'll have Cousins as a trade bait, which is better than Daye.

His agent said that he didn't demand a trade. You can get fined if you demand a trade. :)

The Kings would no doubt want the Pistons 2012 1st-round pick as a part of a trade package.

Jerebko, Stuckey and Prince could not be part of the trade since they just signed new contracts.

I like our top 3 draft pick next year better than a gamble on him.

High Risk, High Reward.... Scares me to death, but its a rookie contract, so it might be worth a shot... just depends on how much the asking price is. Would also give us a glimpse into what sort of owner we have.... does he have Joe pull the trigger on this sort of move. This move would have to have owners approval on it I'm sure.

If Joe signed on Cousins........I guess that means he'd sign just about anybody.

I would roll the dice on Cousins. I agree that I wouldn't want to give up Knight, Monroe, or the upcoming pick. Make the pick trade a top 5 protected for five years, and I would do it.

Hell, I might even throw in the Speights kid we just traded Stuckey, Prince, Bynum, Maxiell, and Daye for.

    It's impossible to get.

    Players that we won't trade:

    - 1st round pick 2012
    - Monroe
    - Knight
    - Wallace

Players that we CAN'T trade because they just sign this year:

    - Stuckey
    - Prince
    - Jerebko

This is what we can offer them:

    - Bynum
    - Maxiell
    - The Rights on Kyle Singler
    - Macklin
    - Daye
    - Gordon
    - Villanueva
    - Wilkins

But the Kings are running out of buisness, they are really Broke, they won't take a huge contract like Ben Gordon, Maxiell or Villanueva.. So what we can offer them is a package of Daye, Bynum (expiring contract), Kyle Singler, Macklin and Wilkins.

I really don't thinkthey will pull this trade even if they're drunk.

    I don't want to give 2012, 2013 or 2014 Draft Picks.

If Joe can turn CA into Cousins, I'll put him back on my (Nice) Christmas Card List
Cousins has Piston DNA, if not I'm sure he has some East 7 Mile DNA in him:gun1: The City of Detroit would welcome him with open arms and he'd love it! He's a DETROIT kind of fellow..............Now as far as him in Oakland County...........

No, just no. He's proven that he's got an awful attitude, and that's the last thing that Pistons locker room needs right now.

Only if we can get him very cheap (No Knight, Monroe, JJ, unprotected picks)

Leave that alone. Seems like one big headache that we don't need. Players with his mentality sometimes cannot be reached.

Google "Demarcus Cousins Bad teammate" "Demarcus Cousins Bad attitude" - but only when you've got a day to kill reading stuff. There are a lot of articles pretty much trashing this guy as a teammate.

If we trade anything more than a lottery protected draft pick for him (lotto protected through 2013, and top 5 protected thereafter - something like that), then just stay the heck away from this guy.

I'm going to wait until at least four Demarcus Cousins threads have been created before I offer my opinion.
