let the tanking begin!
He is not taking any chances with his health......too much money at stake..i hope he get less next year for not taking 57 million dollars... and gordon (turned down supposed 50 million)
I have actually never understand: in a contract year players start talking much about security ( read: I need fat and lenghty contract), so GM offers what demanded, but player turns it down. Maybe players think that if 50 mil was offered, then I can get even 60...
Well, Ben turned down whatever Joe offered him 48 or 50 mil and where did it get him? Surely he got paid, but it doesn't look like he's happy.
Yeah right like Ben would have been so much happier with Flip as his coach for God knows how long. Maybe he didn't know what he was getting with the Bulls, but he sure knew what he was gonna get here. It's too bad about Deng. I really enjoy watching him play.
Deng it all anyway.
I'd say that he'll be able to find some happiness in the extra 12 million during the 40 years of his life after he's finished entertaining the public with a children's game.
That would buy Shaq about 6 months of happiness.
No kidding. Watching Scottie Pippen beg and plead for a coaching job to stay out of bankruptcy is kind of pathetic and sad. I'm wondering if I'll be able to feel the same way after Shaq's blown the profits from the most lucrative athletic career in the history of the human race. Well, I dislike Shaq's game and public persona more than Pip's, too.
Ben must be miserable. Chicago hates him.
All this bitterness.Let it go, man, let it go.
As it turns out Chicago did us a huge favor by signing Ben.
as i posted earlier why do you think detroit keeps throwing games to chicago in the regular season.... its our payment for outbidding us. GRIN but on a more serious note.... the unions of all these prof sports leagues really need to do a better job of serving there members and teaching them how to be smart with there money. Most of these guys should be set for life after signing there rookie contract (well the lottery picks anyways) and after 5 years in the league there is no way they should be smelling money problems the rest of there life. Be it teaching or something else, there is no way that they should ever be hurting.
