Do they up date their projections, because they already have one preview up on the website for the Pistons where they had us drafting Jeff Teague.

They are still selling Jeff Teague as our pick at 15, so I am not sure when this was taped and who is their insider?

They are thinking that we need Teague as a pure point and we should slide Stuckey over to the two. No mention of what becomes of Rip and no mention of us needing a big man???

Which is so crazy sounding considering his listed weakness (not a true point guard/playmaker) is the very reason folks are trying to get us a point guard in the first place.

    Pickin's

June 24, Draft Express: Sacramento has reportedly offered Detroit the #23 and #31 picks in exchange for the #15. The Kings may target DeJuan Blair at 15 if he's available, while the Pistons like Toney Douglas and possibly DaJuan Summers.
There have been rumors that Dumars is interested in Douglas. This would give Detroit one first-round pick and four second round picks. Down further on the page Givony reports of another potential offer for the 15th pick.
Minnesota supposedly may not be done making moves, and could be looking to package some assets and move up even higher in the first round. Right now they seem to be dangling the #18 pick and Nikola Pekovic, possibly to Detroit sitting at 15. Gerald Henderson could very well be their target, as he's likely gone one pick later by Chicago.

Second rounders are not guaranteed, right?

Just read this from USA today:
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Pistons are armed with four picks in the NBA draft and about $20 million in salary cap space.
All of that will be used to reshape a team that was bounced from the first round of the playoffs this spring.
Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars says he plans to take a frontcourt player in Thursday night's first round. Detroit has the No. 15 pick.
Dumars says he might package his three picks in the second round to move around in the draft.

This would narrow down the choices to:
    Hansbrough
    Terrance Williams
    Mullens
    Blair
Clark (slipped to #24 in nbadraft.net)
    Budinger
    Summers
    Casspi

    Front Court Players

Living in NC I've had a lot of opportunity to watch Hansbrough. He's been a pretty solid tough nosed player. I'd move back a notch or two, pass on Mullins and take Hansbrough if I thought I could get away with it.

    Re: Front Court Players

Should add James Johnson & Austin Daye to the list of potential picks.

Technically, the first round is not guaranteed either.

IIRC, The first round rookie scale is a max value.

Second round players have no draft related max contract value, but most teams are capped out, and these are marginal roster possibilities, so the minimum is used to sign 2nd rounders 99% of the time.

To be fair though, this is a draft full of projects, I think whoever you draft, will take a bit of nurturing.
