The full schedule won't be out until April, but the opponents for next season have already been chosen. Based on this seasons records, the Lions have the 9th toughest schedule for next season at .543 winning %. The Patriots have the easiest @ .387%. Yup, the PATRIOTS have the easiest schedule in the league. Not that the schedule will actually matter for either of these teams. The Lions are unpredictable against everyone and the Patriots destroy everyone in their path. Below is a list of the opponents with this season's W/L record in brackets. HOME Chicago (7-9) Green Bay (13-3) Jacksonville (11-5) Minnesota (8-8) New Orleans (7-9) Tampa Bay (9-7) Tennessee (10-6) Washington (9-7) AWAY Atlanta (4-12) Carolina (7-9) Chicago (7-9) Green Bay (13-3) Houston (8-8) Indianapolis (13-3) Minnesota (8-8) San Francisco (5-11) Source: MLive.com: Everything Michigan
So how long will the Pats winning streak be? 16 + 3 + 16 + ? = At least 35 straight games. That's impressive.
I hope Marenilli doesn't have a House in the Detroit area. He'll be movin on after next season...........4-12 sounds good.........
Kitna says 10-6. Actually, the games at Green Bay and Indianapolis are automatic losses. The Lions can probably win a half dozen games or so out of the remaining 14, especially if they draft another WR in the 1st round.
But will there be CHANGES after a 5-11 season.............. Does Millen go ????? Does Marenilli go ????? Does Ford open up a DQ ????? he's certainly been offering us a lot of "soft serve" for many years.... I'm more optimistic on winning a championship this season with the Pistons and Flip Saunders, than having a winning season with our current Lions' regime....................
OK....OK....OK... What is the difference between the Detroit Lions and Gilligan's Island? They both have a skipper and a millionaire......... .......the Detroit Lions have nothing pretty to look at............
Something always smells fishy. We are all marooned on an island. Their chances of winning are like MaryAnn: extremely slim. They rely on a rabbits foot for victory like Gilligan. Instead of having one bumbling idiot, the whole organization from top to bottom is a Gilligan clone. They both have the same foundation: sand. Their draft picks are always a big bust like Ginger. The Lion's play like MaryAnn. They run like Skipper. Their owner is a coniving rich thief like Mr. Howell. Their cheerleaders look like Mrs. Howell. They always face a coach with the smarts of Professor in comparison. They always have backfield in motion like Ginger....
I don't see the NFC North being that tough to be honest. How good will those other teams be? Green Bay won't win 13 again. Chicago is a wild card and Minny is not consistent. I think an 8-8 team could win the division. How pathetic would that be?
