Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos: Cutler Trade Talks

It would have been #1 / #20 / Cassel to Denver. #12 to New England. Jay Culter to Detroit.

It seems Ford are trying to make moves to improve that franchise, but Cutler needs an O-Line.

It's what I read from different forums it was #1 and #20 + Cassel or #1 and 3rd Overall + Cassel for Cutler. (It what people guess Lions offered)

I can't see Denver not trading Cutler for anything less imo.

If I was Denver, I'd do that in a second. Two early first round picks and Cassel? No brainer IMO.

Edited to add: Wait a second, what would N.E. have been getting in that deal? I'm assuming some of those picks would have been going to them? Or was Denver also going to be including some picks or players?

Denver was going to include #12 to NE.

It looks like it was Detroit #1 overall and their own 3rd round pick + Cassel.

A deal for Cutler isn't dead yet. Things are getting nasty in Denver.

If we could get Cutler for our #20 pick, that's a NO BRAINER IMO.

That frees us up to take Curry or Smith @ 1 AND still get our starting QB.
