Would love to have Wallace. I see the Heat are on that list too, it will be very difficult to compete with Riley, D-Wade hitting Wallace from that corny cell phone of his, and of course the sales pitch from fat ass.........

We can forget it, he`s going to Miami!

Would he want that, that is the question. He's only 24.

He can do everything Tay can do, better, except shoot; he's not a fundamentally sound defender, but it's not like Tay's going to stop anyone either.

There are two words in that sentence that explain why he wouldn't start as long as Philip Saunders is the head coach here.

Tayshaun is a better defender, passer, ball handler, and shooter. Wallace is better at finishing and boards.

The main concern with Wallace is that he is a hustle player and gets hurt a lot because he plays with reckless abandon.

I'd take him in a heartbeat and trade Tay. Tay wouldn't give us the energy we need off the bench.

Man, Wallace sure would make things fun again. Do we actually have a realistic shot at him? I think he would be a great addition.

Well Joe thinks we have a shot... or at least he's finding out what a shot would take, the important thing is that there's interest...

It's a necessary first step, anyhow.

Let's keep our collective fingers crossed.:fingerscr

I would give them Tay for Wallace. We need that athletic spark. We have enough chilled out guys. Someone that plays with "a wreckless abandon" would be a nice change of pace.

There's one other issue with giving up Tay - an on-court chemistry. The "core" guys know each other very well by now, they can predict what the teammate will do. It takes years to get there and it is a huge plus for the team.

And we can predict something with relative certainty too.
That we will lose with the current group of laid back ghosts in the EC finals. I think a shake up in the chemistry would be good.

I have nothing against a shake-up, but I would not get rid of Prince. On a team that often doesn't play so smart, Prince makes good decisions. He plays at both ends of the floor. Sure, he could be more assertive at times, but the guy is pretty darn consistent. Tay stays. Shake up somebody else...

I wouldn't mind losing somebody else. I don't have anything against Tay.
I was just thinking he would be the guy to go since he plays the same position as Wallace. We can't afford to lose CB, so that leaves Rip and Wallace.
Well...maybe if we ask nice they'll take Flip Jr and Nazr:MusicBigGrin:

not to add fuel to the fire, but i heard a rumor about a draft day trade including tay, the bobcats, and the #8 pick. if that was remotely true, and then you combine the interview where joe was talking about guys not playing 40 mins anymore and taking 10-15 of those minutes off, then this might have some legs.

like, i think joe would sign hill over a guy like mopete just because it would make tayshaun work harder to keep his starting position.

i dunno - joe seems to be shaping this team a lot more toward his visions of 'pistons' players, now that we've stabilized.

I tend to be cautious about guys comming from poor teams who have received all of the touches and minutes they can stand, then face having to mesh into a more structured environment.
