The Detroit Pistons Can Be 2010 NBA Champions—Here's How | Bleacher Report
that's not a bad idea at all...but i'd change three things: #1) I think that the raptors would be more interested in Rip - a legit all-star, than Tay - an above average role player. #2) Instead of signing artest, i'd wait until next season to go after joe johnson. #3) Instead of trading for chandler, either trade for mare, or wait until next season when he's going to be a free agent (in which case you can go ahead and trade for chandler, just don't extend him). it's a season longer, but its a much better deal. C: Stoudemire PF: Bosh SF: Prince/Johnson SG: Hamilton/Johnson PG: Stuckey
All those moves and still no true backup SF...
How soon you forget about Walter Herrmann...
These are some interesting scenarios, but just curious.. Isn't there a Bleacher Report for each NBA team on how to be the NBA 2010 Champion??
Fans will always dream.
fyi to "bleacher report" - tyson chandler makes like 11+mil per. Its going to take either Hamilton or Prince to get him cap-wise. Chandler, Bosh, Artest, Afflalo, Stuckey doesnt sound quite so good...does it?
we are under the cap so we don't have to send as much salary as we take back.... one of the advantages Joe has this summer in making trades.
I like the Bosh/Artest/Chandler scenario, however, there is some additions and subtractions that I would make. Instead of Okur, I would go after Gorat who seems to be what we are looking for, plays down low, blocks shots and rebounds. Would also go after FA Ramon Sessions. I would also include Rip in one of these scenario. We need a backup small forward, NO not Walter Hermann. I think Rip could fetch us a good backup SF and a first round draft pick to make up for the pick that we lost.
Pistons can be 2010 NBA champs? ...nope. This guy Seymoure Butts guy needs to come out from under the bleachers and realize that Michael Curry is coming back.
I disagree. Stoudemire is not a center. If you get Bosh, there's no reason to go after Amare, which is essentially a redundant move.
I'm not sold on Gortat. He played one good game in the PO. I watched several Magic games this year and to me it seems like he wouldn't be much of an upgrade over Kwame.
We would have a better chance of winning a championship with Curry on the court than as our coach.
... as Hooper right?
Even as our starting Center.
Maybe Curry should just be promoted to Mike Abdenour's assistant. Mike's been with the Pistons for 30 years....he's got to be making more than Curry
