The Trail Blazers are on a two game winning streak and the Detroit Pistons come into the Rose Garden winning their last five. Someone's streak will be broken tonight at the Rose Garden.

The Trail Blazers last game was a 95-83 victory over the New York Knicks where Zach Randolph score a season high 29 points and grabbed 13 boards and Darius Miles added 26 points and 8 rebounds. Randolph (20.0) and Miles (21.3) are one of five pairs of teammates averaging 20+ points a game.

Back to back Western road games. Gulp.

I sure hope they show they can do well because on December 12th (only one more month) I travel to Utah for an overnight to see the Pistons take on the Jazz. It's the second part of a back to back and the end of a 4 or 5 game road trip, I think. A victory would make the trip home much sweeter.

I hope they aren't caught napping tonight. :ohwell:

    Prediction

Last night I was going to pick DET 114 PHX 104 but shaved it by 10 at the last minute.

Tonight I am going with my 1st feeling.

    DET 89 POR 84.

Portland is only shooting 41% so far this season and is one of the worst scoring teams in the league at 85.75 ppg. One other thing really stands out, they are a league worst from the free throw line at 58%. The no layup rule is in effect tonight.

Odd stat, they are getting blocked a league worst 9.25 times per game. Damn, Ben is going to pad his stats tonight.

if they only average that than they're going to score real low against the pistons.

    I can't see Portland holding us to just 89 points. I'll say Piston's 104, Portland 92.

Your good luck charm is here!!

As I said, I would have never believed I could live in Houston and see what will now be my 6th straight Piston game on TV! Therefore, behind a very good game from Arroyo and Dice , Pistons 115-96! My bruddahs!

    Pistons 103 Portland 91

Pistons a little sluggish, but bench comes up big. Darko scores 8 points 4 rebounds.

    Wow

Randolph is looking great so far. He's scoring at will from all over the court. I don't think his shots have touched rim yet.

    Pistons are shooting well too.

Sheed has never been a great finisher on dunks. He missed one last game as well.

    Walton

Wow, he really went out on a limb with his last bold statement.

"I'm not ready to count the Pistons out of this game yet". With the Pistons down 5 points in the 1st quarter.

That's why they pay him the big bucks.

    I hate Walton

....from way back...He learned out of stuttering and fell in love with his own voice. Pistons toying with them..Nothing really stands out...

Got to feel good about game so far. We are on a 3 game west coast trip, with back to back games, portland is shooting the lights out and we are only down three.
