the only thing i will say.... havn't watched a game either (this is another rant but the season is just to dang long.) I don't watch hockey till about christmas time.

The season is sooo long and these guys have been so deep in the playoffs the last two years... they were totally gased by the end of last spring errr summers cup that as long as they stay in the playoff race till after the all star break and coast along resting.... I can live with it.

Hockey seems like no other sport that what you do in nov and dec really has no bearing on how well you do in the playoffs.

In hockey there a chance to go winless in November and December and possibly still make the playoffs...

I promise that the Wings win more than the Pistons.

Besides that. I think raxrets is correct, I don't watch every Red Wings games, but the ones I've seen have been bad.

Anyone watching the Red Wings tonight? They were trailing 5-1 and have fought back to tie it 5-5 with 7 minutes left in the 3rd period.

Yea, the shootout stunk. Disappointing finish. After falling behind 4-0 early in the 2nd period, I guess you're probably happy to get a point out of the game.

Wings are far from full strength, but they are at least starting to scrap out wins lately....3rd straight victory with 3-2 win against Phoenix tonight. That makes 4 wins in the last 5.

Anybody know how many shootouts the Wings have lost this season?? Seems like every other game the past 30 days...including tonight....Don't they have any skilled goal scorers that can fake out a goalie one on one?

    ,,,,,does anybody care??

Yea, Babcock must hate shootouts. The Wings did well to get one point tonight, though, after trailing 3-1 late in the 3rd period.

last season they were equally lucky with shootouts as they are unlucky now. And shootout personnel has remained the same.

I simply hope that losts shootout points do not cost to them POs.

13 wins 3 regular losses and 2 OTL since the Olympic break.

They had gone 12 straight games getting at least a point until yesterdays loss.

Yep there are some teams worrying about the Wings.... The Flyers just needed win more so than the Wings did yesterday to staying the playoff hunt in the EC.

The Mule is from the small town (Vetlanda) 15 miles next to the one I grew up in and the same age as me so I used to play against him as a youngster. No one had any clue that he would end up a NHL-star at that time. Ofcourse, he was good but every team had a guy or two like him. Talk about late bloomer.

He's just always banded up. Bet he doesn't last the playoffs.
    Did you ever board him?

Not that I can remember and I highly doubt it. He was a tough guy already as a kid if I remember it correctly. Can't truthfully say I was the Scott Stevens type of player either. :pound:
