The new season is off with a bang. Looks like 3rd and 4th line players are more ready than the top guys. But the top guys will need to get it going if the team is to go far this year.
Wings have been amazingly consistent over these last 2+ decades. I look at the team and see father [STRIKE]Woody[/STRIKE] time knocking at the door. They should still be OK this season though. It will really hurt when the Captain hangs em up.....

So how the heck would you have seen a game in the 1850's??? i suppose next you are going to tell us that you sat next to Abe Lincoln at the game. (Lucky thing for you the game wasn't held at the Ford theater).

Both Carl's Chop House and the Barn were on Grand River...but the Chop House was downtown...several miles away....
Wings now 12th out of 15 conference teams for standings points. 5 losses in a row, scoring 5 total goals will do that to ya. That position will drop us out of the playoffs.......

When they were 5-0, they averaged 3 goals a game...but now six straight losses and their average has dropped to one goal a game. Even if they averaged 3 in the last six, they would have lossed four of those, so they have a problem on both offense and defense which means that they are either to old or to inexperienced...
5 straight L's and I'm concerned. Babs split up Zetts and Dats and it seems worse. I doubt Abby is working at C. With the Lions coming on strong Wings can take a break ?????????
NHL to align into 4 Conferences representing each time zone. They wish to reduce travel by certain teams. Two of the conferences will have 7 teams and 2 will have 8 teams. 4 teams will make the plaoffs from each conference. the first two rounds of the playoff will be intra-conference format... There will be a home-in home with each non conference opponent. Each team will play in their conference 5-6 games.......
In order to get our Fantasy Hockey going again, maybe we need to break out league into several divisions. I think we are too far apart, with too much travel time between players. We could put Tater and CJ in one division, and everybody else in another. Or, put Roscoe and Jammer, the Canadians, together, and put me in the senior division. The posibilities are endless.
