Well, the season has finally begun, but the Wings are trailing 6-0 to the Blues. This is a coaching loss if you ask me. Babcock simply has an agenda against winning. Pavel Datsyuk at left wing? Are you kidding me? Datsyuk is not a left wing, never will be. Patrick Eaves a healthy scratch? If you were watching closely during the Detroit Red-White scrimmage game as I was, it would be clear that Eaves is one of the best hockey players in the league. The guy skates like a deer. Sat there this morning watching a great game at the Joe...A possible upset? was brewing as Jimmy Howard was pitching a shut out through the first 57 minutes of regulation turning back several shots by the streaking Blackhawks that earned a point in all 22 games played this short season.... Even brought Mrs Dre up to speed on the point situation and had her cheering on the Wings... But alas Ericson made the cardinal sin of unintentionally flipping one over the glass for a penalty with less and three minutes left in the game. I told the wife then, this is how the Blackhawks get points....the opposing teams makes a mistake and of course 10 seconds after I utter those words, that darn Patrick Kane scores to tie the game. Then he out fakes Howard for winning goal during the shoot out. So close but no cigar for the Wings ... a point for the wings, but I think the air was taken out when they gave up the tying goal.....
I love the Monte Cristo, but I think a week of them would be a cholesterel strain on the heart...especially if you get them from the Bennigans Restaurants...
Getting down to the very end. Will the Wings make the playoffs for the 22nd straight year? Stay tuned!
