Osgood's career numbers compare pretty well with Hasek's.
and yes...we needed him to WIN the Pittsburgh series and he couldnt step up like others could
thats why stats aint everything.....like a Jim Thome of goaltending
Stanley Cup Championships: Osgood 3 Hasek 2
His numbers look good, but the voters will consider the RED WING system factor. Would he have gotten those numbers playing for just a playoff contender? Would he have made a difference in that type of situation? or...Did our highly regarded system cover up some of his weaknesses? His stats are great...but is he only real good? How many playoff games did he put the team on his shoulders? We may not like the answer to that last question..............
John Salley 4 Charles Barkley 0
Ozzie is #3 all-time among goalies in goals scored (first among Red Wings).
CAREER NUMBERS: Osgood: 401-216-95 (.631 winning pct) .905 save pct 2.49 GAA Hasek: 389-223-95 (.619 winning pct) .922 save pct 2.20 GAA
Hasek also won in BUFFALO...No way Osgood could do that nuff said
Well, that's the question. Should Osgood be given credit for those 3 Stanley Cups? If so, he's a HOF'er. If you think the Cup is more team-based, then maybe he's on the outside looking in. Either way, Detroit was lucky to have him.
We were also lucky to have Darren McCarty a few years back. McCarty scored career best stats as the Wings swept the Philadelphia Flyers for their first Stanley Cup in 42 years.
I actually felt sorry for Osgood. With 7-8 HOFers playing in front of him, the guy couldnt be taken seriously here in Hockeytown.
Oz didn't win 3 did he ? Even so how many times did he blow it in the P/Os ?
This looks really cool. Hockey, housing and more: Ilitches unveil 'bold vision' for Red Wings arena district | Detroit Free Press | freep.com
I wonder if when they did Comerica or Ford Field did they contact The Redwings to coordinate the district ? http://cmsimg.freep.com/apps/pbcsi.dll/bilde?NewTbl=1&Site=C4&Date=20140720&Category=BUSINESS&ArtNo=307200114&Ref=PH&Item=2&Maxw=620&Maxh=465&q=90

I hate to be a Debbie Downer but it's so frustrating to look at the artists rendition of the future of Downtown Detroit and not see any black people in the drawings. I know everyone cant be like we are on the Forum, but my heart just sinks every time I have to accept why more folks cant be as colorblind as I am..... also...RedWing arena.....two things 1. a retractable roof would be so cool 2. Ilitch Arena- a no doubt name!!!!
Uhh... Old Skool... every one of the artists renditions had minorities in it, including black people.
black people and asian or indian people are two different cultures..i believe you mean 'people of color"... no one looked like the handsome guy you see in the avatar...i did see someone with color serving in an apron though......
