    I'm no masochist, but this guy is delusional if he thinks a 26-game losing streak doesn't scar a franchise.

    Well.. we are tied with Sacramento with the 7th and 8th pick. (27-49)

    BUT there is a difference - Detroit next games:

    Boston
    @Atlanta
    @Cleveland
    @Chicago
    Toronto
    Oklahoma City

    I predict: 1-5 (maybe even 2-4 If we beat the Cavs)

    But the Kings next games are way harder! Take a look:

    Dallas
    Oklahoma City
    @Portland
    @L.A. Clippers
    Minnesota
    Phoenix

    I predict: 0 - 6 (Maybe 1-5 if they catch the T'wolves sleeping)

    Anyway.. it will all come down to the Lottery, to watch if Detroit can get a top 3 pick. Staying 8th is almost impossible, there is always some team getting ahead of us.

    Some playoff teams will rest players when their spot is fixed. Some lottery teams will throw rookies out there the last couple of games. It's hard to predict these last 2 weeks worth of games.

    12.5% chance that we get leap frogged in the lottery I believe I remember seeing if we sit in 8th at year end.

    These are the games that we historically win.
    I like a 4-2 record over the last 6 games.
    A 31-51 record sounds about right.
    We'll win our home games, and.
    beat the Cavs on the road...

    I think Gores is driving the tank for the first time. This isn't like the other years.

    I posted in another thread, but the Pistons have to keep this year's pick because next year's draft looks awful. I top-3 would do wonders for the direction of this franchise, whereas dropping to 9 would effectively set their growth back two years.

    If we finish 7th, there is a 1.8% chance that two teams leapfrog us, we drop to 9th, and then Charlotte takes our pick.

    Then again, there is a 15% chance that we move into the top 3.

    If we finish outside, we could leapfrog inside too.

    I think we could draft anyone in the top 10 and we'll have someone that will help us.

    Sounds good. I didn't actually read the article closely, just read the comments section afterward.

    Should lose enough to keep 8th spot, but can't see the Kings winning any to get us up to 7th.

    It has easily the most disappointing season in my time as a Pistons supporter and I think this is the first season I have stopped watching games by January. My interest now turns to the GM and coach search, and the lottery - these are things I'm sick of having to focus on while other teams jostle for Playoff position.

    Going to be a nervous sleep the night of the lottery.

    I'd be exited to watch these gawd awful games if there was some player development going on our some exploration of gigi, siva, mitchell, and jorts' talents. Even watching siva get real action lately has piqued my interest. I hate the thought of letting players go in the off season when they haven't had a chance.

    Jerebko had been playing well and I'm cool with that, but he's a very familiar player in year three. He should have been playing all year.

    It was interesting the Jerebko hit those key 3-pointers against Boston while playing power forward. Perhaps Coach Loyer knew something that other rotations experts did not.

    Loyer is just cashing his paycheck and collecting his secret cash bonus payments for each L that he produces.

    I do wonder how gores aligns incentives.

    He blew the Boston game. We had no business winning that game. It could cost us our lottery pick.

    Think its the opposite. Reason he is still smashing the starters 40 mins a night is because he is coaching for his next job and trying everything he can to win! Disaster for development in a lost season... Should have just kept Cheeks.

    We are officially eliminated from the playoffs. Mitchell and Siva should be starting, with Gigi and KCP getting at least 25 minutes a game. Anybody hurting with a sore knee, toe or earache should be dressed in their civies. There is no way we should pass Cleveland and have the 9th best record. Getting the 7th maybe difficult with Kings trying to better their position, but to slip into the disaster zone because Loyer wants get a job next year should be grounds enough for another coach firing. Hand the reigns over to Billups/Sheed or Henry Bibby to the remaining 6 games.
