What led to Rip's blowup at Kuester? Was it just random?

Why is Yahoo reporting this and not the locals?

What does it say about the poor young guys on the team that they can't speak up for themselves when they see something is wrong?

    Stuckey will be starting tonight.

So the players tried to stage a walkout protest just before the trading deadline...but this recent shootaround incident was just a perfect storm of all of these players missing for various reasons? Hmmm. I wonder who the source for this info was.

Yahoo isn't exclusively in the Detroit media market, and doesn't get their salaries paid from advertising purchased by PSE.

Typical spin doctoring. We all know why guys were not allowed to play yesterday. Kuester didn't sit half the roster over a misunderstanding, and if he did, then he is an idiot. Also, everyone saw the guys yukking it up on the bench. It is still disgusting one day later.

The Pistons folks must think we're incredibly stupid to believe this stuff. Maybe we are stupid. We keep thinking Dumars is going to stop destroying this franchise and do something progressive. That's the definition of insanity.

Riles the Championship ring wearing GM at the end of the day.

The only one with that kind of clout to bring to our table at the time was Joe, so I guess it all comes back to him.

He dropped the ball and we are still paying for it.

How in the world can more than half the active roster being in successful collusion be 'more miscommunication than defiance'?

They must think we are as stupid as Joe does.

Stein: Coaching change coming in Detroit?

That's all we need to do is wave our hands off to the left while we trot out a new soon-to-be patsy and distract everyone from the real issues.

You got that from Chuck, but he wasn't talking about you pulling the wool over the eyes of the fans.

Time for you to leave #4. Before your jersey loses its luster.

From a pure spectacle standpoint, I can't believe that it escalated further than just player boycott + benching.

I tuned in yesterday based on that alone, and then got to see Kuester freak out over a call that I didn't even notice and get ejected at the worst time possible (for him). Then, the players take it to another level still by giggling while he gets ejected.

If you show your iron fist by benching $40M in salary and playing a skeleton lineup, you at least have to avoid getting kicked out of the game don't you? He benches Rip for the season because he lost his cool and disrespected him in front of others... yet Kuester gets kicked out of the game for losing his cool and disrespecting the officials in front of a stadium full of people?

Maybe the players were laughing at the irony.

Was this serious? Are you kidding me? Leinhart went to the Texans during the PRESEASON. The incident you are talking about was Derek Anderson who spent the whole season with the Cards.

    This lady.

I heard she replaced Joe's legally blind barber, Emeka, back in 2006 sometime after we won the 'ship but realized Darko wasn't the beez neez.

That shot of the grieving Big Ben, the ill T-Mac and confused Silver Spoon yukking it up is the one piece of evidence that shoots down the coincidental misunderstanding theory. Rip maniacally laughing would have been one thing.

I am not trying to defend Rip, but the team sure looks to be going out of its' way to make him and only him look bad.

Guys typically lose their starting spot if they miss shoot around in the regular season.

The value of the Pistons just dropped, again...good news for Gores. Bite the bullet Karen D and sell ASAP. Time to start spring cleaning...start by putting Dumars out on the curb.

I too, was amazed at how bad of shape these guys were in as they were forced to sit on the bench and not be resting and hooked up to IV's and such.

I didn't appreciate your nasty private message regarding this. Big deal. I messed up on the name of the quarterback. Nobody around here cares one way or the other about Leinart or the Cardinals. He is a lousy quarterback cut by a lousy team.

I'm glad you caught the error. Correct it and move on. The message in my post stands.

Justice is swift and harsh in these parts.

I don't deny that Joe's hand have been tied recently by the ownership situation, but it is really getting hard to overstate what a bad job he has done the last 5 years or so.

I believe I said the same thing during the Curry era, but Joe couldn't undermine Kuester more if he kneeled behind him during the games while Rip, Ben et al took turns pushing him over.

They might as well have Bozo the Chimp running things.

I bet Bozo could dunk if he jumped off of Joe's back.

Actually,Bozo is a clown. Bonzo is the chimp.

But I got your point, anyhow, Ernie. I promise not to send you a hostile P.M.
