Was I the only one who noticed Stuckey laughing about missing the shoot around when he was interviewed after the Utah game?

    Jamm you missed it.
Tate made a honest mistake and some new guy just dumped all over him.
But then Rasc just picked his nose all over the new guy.
Maybe because Tate cried to Rasc about an ego debilitating PM the new guy sent.

The odd and very sad thing about this organization is how poorly it communicates. Management, coaches, players, ball boys just never seem to talk to each other. It's been nearly a week now and the organization hasn't released any kind of statement. Bizarre.

Fine, they don't go into gritty detail, they don't call people out, but they're here because we're here, and we deserve an explanation of some kind.

Daye's "excuse" came out much sooner and was much more believable than Stuckey's, but those two have to be linked, right? So, Stuckey sitting around and finally releasing a bull excuse brings Daye down as well.

I guess I really don't know what to think about anyone but the 6 guys that showed up.

I know I may be trying to look thru rose colored glasses here.... but maybe the coach has communicated better then the players have said. Rip goes off on the coach in practice but has no idea why he was benched? Joe knows why too, but tried to be classy and not make Rip look terrible in the puplic eye...

In NO WAY saying Q is a great coach or been faultless in this years happenings, but maybe he's not as bad as we have thought? I'd like to see how he coaches out this year with the old guard on the shelf and let Joe (assuming he's kept) / The new owner look at the situation as a whole. Do the young players respond to him/respect him...

I am really tired of the revolving door at coach......

Weather conditions such as thunderstorms, high temperatures, and cold air can be troublesome by themselves.

But they are a volatile mix and can destroy some things that it took a very long time to build...

I agree with you here round but I think that the cover-up stemmed from the team wanting to keep their player's trade value as high as possible (...not saying much) prior to the deadline so they could potentially find some takers.

It makes sense that POST-trade deadline, all of this crap comes out about Rip blasting Q in that January practice.

Joe Dumars just released this statement:

"First of all, John Kuester has my full support as we try to make a push towards the postseason over these last 21 games. We've had a long and proud history of being a first class organization that handles its business the right way. We expect everyone that represents the Detroit Pistons to do so in a first class manner and that will continue as we move forward."

Nice job reading between the lines. I bet he has smashed a Blackberry or two against a wall over the last few weeks....

If this is his full support I wonder what his partial support looks like.

check with a long line of piston coaches :P

Joe didn't say anything was certain beyond the 21 games, but even if Q isn't retained you can bet that Joe expects a bit more "class" by the players shown towards the spot of coach.

I agree though about the reading between the lines... he isn't a happy boy.

Yeah, I was waiting for more from that statement. Seems like a short statement to cover a rather large problem/s.

You are brutal towards my efforts to not laugh out loud in the middle of a full office. That really took dedication on my part to silently belly laugh to that.

Sad part is Curry started this mess. Rip senced more like garbage. And like it out on Q. But then this team sucks and it's all JD's fault.

Now Rip and the coach Q are trying make amends at game 61???

As all have said, this falls on Joe for not taking care of the situation before it spun out of control.

When a GM comes out and says he has full support of his coach, then that means you can add "lame duck" coach on the front of it. Which means IMO if he does not win at least half of the remaining games then he probably is history at seasons end.

Since there is no "real" owner in place to say Joe has full support, his job is probably OK for now....until the new owner gives that same type of statement
