JD is lame duck. Double lame duck even better.
I bet this was Hamilton's agent telling Rip you need to save face fast or your career is OVER!
I beg to differ...Flip started this mess by disrespecting the multiple award-winning defensive talents of Ben Wallace. That had to piss off every member of the championship team at least a little...sure as hell pissed me off. Then there was Rip signing the big 5 year deal just days before CB was shipped to Denver. From reports, that was obviously a shocker to Rip...remember the tearful meeting in the hotel room? Pretty lame of Dumars to sign him without at least cluing him in to what was about to happen. I don't blame Rip for being pissed, but his actions have been childish. I blame Dumars for most of this. We hear how things supposedly get settled internally but it's pretty obvious that doesn't actually happen. Joe has made a number of less than primo moves over the last few years. The more he does, and doesn't do, has brought me to the conclusion that Hammond (2009-10 NBA Executive of the Year) was the brains putting the title team together. Another conclusion (I've said this before)...Dumars was afraid for his job, not hiring Laimbeer over the last three coaching changes. Sort of hate to say it because of his Pistons history, but I definitely want Dumars gone...hope Gores makes it his first move after taking ownership. Hiring Hammond back from Milwaukee and hiring Laimbeer as HC would be great second and third moves.
I had to give my take on his words. As you can see, I have trust issues with JD.
Dett, go back even futher, not getting minutes for his #2 pick. Firing a 50 win coach to land L. Brown. Not increasing L.Brown's pay after he won a ship. -------------------- BBen does not know what to with a bball during the offensive sets.
Ok so being totally serious here I thought for sure this was just you guys messing around. I didn't think that there was any way in hell that Joe got off his lazy behind and even bothered to say anything about this. Based on the way he has acted the last couple seasons intervening with the team matters and trying to make them better, was something that I thought he figured was beneath him. What I find funny is how if you go to the ESPN article (Detroit Pistons coach John Kuester still has 'full support' of president Joe Dumars - ESPN) there is a poll on the side for who is to blame for this and there is no place to vote for Joe D.
That is because Joe could not make his own decision, so he asked SportsNation to do a poll for him and he would react to what the fans vote was.
SVG doesn't hold back when asked about Circus Pistons. Magic's Stan Van Gundy rips Pistons as 'weak, childish, unprofessional' | detnews.com | The Detroit News
Oh my. Yes thats exactly what Stuckey and Prince have not been thinking about.
Detroit Pistons players' timing couldn't be worse for rebellion - ESPN
Nice work from Stephen A. Smith!
Most excellent job of Smith completely blowing a rumor up without checking any facts.
But bottom line because everyone including media and loyal fans know that Kuester lost control of the team early due to Rips Rantings and Tay's Tussles has led to a season long slump. They also know that Joe "hands tied" Dumars has not handled it well and the lame duck ownership chose to ignore the issues. The potential buyers have not ignored it and that is why Mrs. D still owns this perceived mess. Outsiders who have a love hate feeling of the Pistons dating back to the Bad Boys are quick to jump on the Pistons troubles so of course the story won't die despite the Pistons.org trying to spin the whole thing into a misunderstanding. Whether it was a misunderstanding and it was proven that some players over slept and others were indeed sick, the issue will never be forbidden unless the Piston kick butt the rest the season and make some noise in the post season and restore some sort of dignity.
Do you need a video clip? What exactly is it that you are asking for?
This was a nonviolent protest. They didn't strangle the coach. It was a cry for help. Libya.
Cry for help? Give me a break. When you're paid $12 million a year to play a game, show up for your damn job. It's that simple.
Not to mention, you should be grinning from ear-to-ear every day you show up at the damn "job"
