He already donated enough to the naacp to get a lifetime achievement award.
I had to look up who Frankie Muniz is.
Good luck to him in acquiring about 15x his total net worth in capital to buy the team. Maybe he should talk to Bear Stearns about how to really get a good leverage ratio
I bet Gores is pissed that he's stuck with the Pistons now that the Clips can be had.
Pretty interesting piece on Sterling by Bill Simmons based on when he sat a row behind him on a flight to San Antonio.

Now this guy sees the NBA as the villain...so no more money.
I dont understand how he was about to get the NAACP award if everyone knew he was so bad.
He purchased the award
I can't imagine that the owners will vote to force him to sell. The precedent is just too much. I think what that will mean is that a group of other owners is probably already in touch with him encouraging him to sell.
If he prices the team out of reasonable range, I suspect the league will just strip the Clippers of NBA inclusion and completely crush the value of it. Like I mentioned already, Stern is not that stupid.
Simmons seems to be thinking that the value may be $1.5B?
If people were advocating boycotting games to financially punish him, then what will they think of a buyer that pays Sterling that much money... for instance, Magic Johnson's investment group?
The owners share in some revenue....a hit like this affects the Clippers first and foremost financially, but will trickle down on the financial and social conscious of the NBA.
He and his "smart" lawyers have to realize that based on the circumstances and how it blew up over the weekend, it is a win-win situation to sell. Even if sold undervalue at say $750 Million, he wins and goes about his merry way. It gives him mo money to buy other real estate in Westwood and Bel Air, donate more money to groups similar the NAACP to get awards and it provides more fun money for his mistresses.
The owners would welcome to the club new ownership group consisting of Magic, Oprah and me David Geffen to get more diversity in the owners club.
I don't know why this would go at much of a discount though. They are a playoff team in a huge market with blake griffin, Chris Paul, and a top 3 coach. There could be many bidders.
Indeed. Teams like this don't become available very often. I think someone posted this article recently and its very informative.

Sterling expressed remorse. It sounded very sincere too.
... Of course, it wasn't for his attitude and actions.. He said " I wish I had just paid her off".
Should we even be surprised?

Him saying, "I'm sorry" ...Is like BillLaimbeer saying, "Nice post, Darth"
Nice post, Darth
Shake and bake!
the other part of this story that I hate is that girl profiting by this. All the press exposure and she will probably go on tv shows soon. Some reality show
