I was checking the websites for rumors and news ever since their season ended. I knew this was coming. detteam sent me a text informing me of the trade yesterday. My two very close friends who are Dallas fans were over at my house at the time I received the text. Dallas and Phillyare mortal enemies in the NFL.

I think the Eagles are going to regret this. He had at least three good years left but they are going with the back up who they THINK will be great and who will win them a super bowl. The Eagles were super successful over the last ten years but never won the big prize. Kind of like the Pistons were for several years after they won their "Ship." So they made some changes. It didn't work out so well for Detroit.

It will be interesting to see what happens since he was traded to a division rival. I read the "strong arm" article earlier this morning. Good for McNabb! I think there is also truth to the stories that the coach wanted to send him somewhere that he liked.

McNabb is a class individual. I will root for him no matter where he goes. But yes...I'm broken hearted. :(

Coach was interviewed on Mike and MIke this morning. Basically said that this was the best deal for the Eagles. Kinda got the feeling though that he wanted to keep the other QB, and that made it easy to move McNabb. I feel McNabb will not be missed by the Eagles, and that it was time for him to move on. I still wish him the best and hope that he has success with the Redskins. I'm just wonderin who Darth will use as his avatar. :)

There's a chance Philly "gave" Nabb to Wash. to keep Wash from getting involved with Bradford. Even with a repaired shoulder Bradford is a top 1-5 pick.:stirthepot:

I dont think acquiring McNabb will steer Washington away from Bradford...In fact, it may be the opposite, and they are simply looking for a bridge until Bradford is ready, 2 or 3 years down the line.

That might be too much money invested in QBs. St.Louis is set to take him, Bradford.

Snyder still has deep pockets, he is willing to spend.

Bradford is looking better and better to the Rams, huh? That should be interesting.

Yeah you forget how ridiculous Snyder can be.

The Eagles and some others are really impressed with Kevin Kolb. He is said to be much more accurate than McNabb, but with less arm strength. We shall see, but I am starting to believe the hype.

Still ticked McNabb gets dumped as soon as they get some really good receivers, but if it translates to a Super Bowl in the near future then I am good! :)

I too am anxious to get the season started to see what KK has to offer. It sure will seem different this year huh? McNabb was exciting for sure, and gave us a lot of great moments, I will miss him, but looking ahead now and hoping the right decisions were made and Reid and co made all the right calls. I certainly will NOT miss Donovan's worm burners, omg that used to drive me insane. They say KK is way more accurate, I hope they are right.

I think I will just start an Eagles thread. We've already hijacked your Tattoo thread and the title of this thread is just too painful.

Probably better to chat about them in there. Now...don't expect the thread to get viewed by only you and I.

    I would say:

20% of the forum will view it just to wait to see me say something stupid to unintentionally embarrass myself. (Typically they won't have to wait very long).

30% of the forum will view it just to make sure I don't say something to intentionally embarrass them. (I.E. Rascoe, Laimbeer, Jammer, C.J., etc.)

25% of the forum will view it just to laugh at Rascoe, Laimbeer, Jammer, C.J., etc.when I embarrass them.

23% of the forum won't even be able to see it, but who cares because they are just lurkers anyhow.

2% of the forum will view it because Woody is senile and will get lost and somehow end up there...and bezeach will view it at 2:00 A.M. just to leave footprints but we will never know he was there because he never says anything anyhow other than "I'm in", when he wants to join a fantasy league...

This thread is getting old already. (And I know what old is).

Sure hope the season begins soon, so we can bury the eagles
in their own hype, and move on to more interesting things.
