Should the Pistons adopt the Detroit Lions Mentality in which the thought process was to draft the most talented individual or, should they draft based on need.

We need everything, but a 2 guard. So I say you can draft most talented. You can never have enough depth and what you don't need you can always trade to fill a need.

Stuckey is a 2 guard. I just said in the other thread I trade RIP and start Stuckey at the 2 and I go after restricted FA Ramon Sessions and make him the new starting PG.

Need. We dont really need another guard. We are going to be really weak down low unless someone comes in. We are probably about to lose Sheed and Dice and we already have lost Memo and Ben.

And please don't say Amir can fill their place. Give me a break.

Since we need a lot of things at the moment, you go for the most talented player. Hopefully the best player available happens to also be a SF/PF too. ;)

It used to be the Piston way of going with the most talented and thats the one thing the previous guy was better than Dumars at.

The Pistons NEED the most tallented player.

...or Joe can simply trade down to the 2nd round and draft a bunch of projects that he can stash over in Europe.

I say go for the most talented (but NOT like the Lions would).

I'm really looking forward to the rebuilding and the growing pains that go with it. I think it promises to be a very exciting time.

Just think of what a fun year it will be in the forum with so many NEW things to discuss.

I'm looking for the best combo guard or undersized PF I can find. If they're projected to play a position they've never played before or they've recently been shot or stabbed then all the better.

    :pound: :pound:

Or maybe they can even get shot or stabbed as a result of playing a position they've never played before.

Yes. I think Curry will be experimenting with the 4 guard offense next year.

There is no need to trade down since the Pistons will already have three 2nd rounders in addition to their #15 in the 1st round.

I'm really getting excited because if they list him at 6'7 then he's probably 6'5 or so. Anyone know if he can't shoot, has no post moves and difficulty snagging defensive rebounds?
