Burke playing for Utah will win rookie of the year
I guess we'll be making lemon-aid......
I like Mark V's idea, but let's not forget Calderón.
I think he will make an excellent backup for Stuckey.
Dude sounds like a Gladiator to me.
He's a good scorer at the 2. Lord knows, the Pistons could use a scorer. Gotta say though, I think Joe and Gores and Phil went for need instead of best available.
I could be wrong, but I think Trey Burke is going to be a big timer, and the Pistons will regret not taking the local kid.
Despite his 37% 3-point shooting percentage, it looks like he has a great stroke. Just some bad shot selection towing his percentage down I believe.
Doubling down on Knight...

To me this looks like Joe and Management have embraced analytics.
KCP rates very high when it comes to those kinds of stats.
And look simply put the kid can shoot the rock. How is having that a bad thing?
I bet Dumars had fractional input into this (25% ish). No way Gores lets him make a big isolated decision like this when they've had months to stew on their ranking of prospects.
3-point shooting and defense are the strengths. Shot selection, ball handling, lapses, and lack of competition are the question marks/ weaknesses.
I'd rather see Knight at SG than PG, so it's disappointing in that respect. Now it's either BK at the 1, coming off the bench, or being traded.
I don't hate this pick. I wish he finished in close better/more athaletic.
I'm ok with this.
New starting line up
PG - Knight
SG - Pope
SF - Middleton
PF - Monroe
C - Drummond
6th - Singler
Welcome to Piston Nation, Caldwell-Pope. The cards are in place and only destiny awaits. Our time is now...
Keep in mind that Middleton has never started an NBA game in his life, has 4 career offensive rebounds and 4 career blocked shots. 3 games with more than 10 points (11, 12, and 14). He may not have dethroned Singler yet (who started 74 games).
It would be a shocker if we don't get a FA to take the starting SF position away from both these guys.
Welcome Ken! We already have one, but that's OK. All the best.
I merged the threads since I was the only one posting propaganda and it didn't make sense to have two commentary threads on the same player at the same time.
The Pistons starting 5 from last year was LOL funny every time they showed it during the draft.
