I don't think it will happen though. If we lose this series enjoy these last few games. Sheed is a unique player. I don't think there will be another person like him in the NBA for a long time.

Why was Billups the one that needed to be moved??

In our last PLAYOFF game other starters who were kept around posted these gaudy stats....

    2 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist
    8 points, 4 rebounds

Not naming any names but those players are pathetic. To post numbers like that and try to justify a multi-million dollar salary. Where'd ya go guys? Thanks for not throwin' in the towel on your team and your fans. :sssh:

Well, for CB JD saw an adequate replacement, something JD did not think team had if two starting veteran big men were traded.
...and both veteran players' contracts expire anyway...

There was not enough minutes for AI, even now Will Bynum deserves more minutes.

Add CB in the mix and ask from yourself - were there enough minutes for CB, Stuckey, Bynum, Rip and Afflalo?

Will Bynum may be THE reason why trade happened as it happened...

Maybe offer was on JD's desk in the summer but JD hesitated: OK, AI or Rip or both can start but where is backup for Stuckey if CB goes?

Bynum impressed staff enough to get a contract but summerleague and NBA regular season are two different things.

Maybe during 4 regular season games JD saw that Bynum is able to fill backup duties and he applied the trade...

    My two cents...

So they made the trade and proceeded to bench Bynum?

AI was calculated risk and Bynum backup. I just tried to , I'm not taking this theory myself seriously. Simply spamming here. To get post count higher. Attention whore.

Depends on the money. He was a little bitter with the Bulls when they didn't extend his contract last year.

We could use a shooter like him, but where would he get his minutes? I'm afraid it'll put Afflalo out of a job.

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if Stuckey and Rip are the only starters that remain next year. Tay still has some decent trade value, so Joe may move him.

Tay can become really productive again if he goes back to being the 3rd or 4th option as he was behind CB, Rip and Sheed. He just cannot handle being the go-to guy; which he is with our current SL.

Tay... yeah. I usually stick up for him, but he's been pretty anemic this year. Maybe his time at the PF position broke him.

Since Joe is good at sending players home, he could send Tay to Clippers and he and Al thornton can share responsibilities at Sf..

The Clips could then send Kamam home to Michigan and that solves our big man in the middle issue. Then Joe can look for a younger more fluid forward in FA as well as younger PF not affraid to post up and can play some d.

I did not match up the salaries, but we could ship Amir home to the LA (Clippers wih Tay) too if we need to. All families would be happy as they can go see their sons suck in person....

We also might be able to find a new SF with the 15th pick.

Amir aint going anywhere. Joes too smart to move him even though the coaches can't figure out how to use him. Dyess goes before Amir.

There are maybe 8-10 players left in the L from the 1995 draft and the Pistons have 2 of them in Sheed and Dyess. Most are backup/role players along the lines of Brent Barry, Theo Ratliff, Jerry Stackhouse and Joe Smith.

KG, Sheed and Dyess are the only starters. The Celtics took precautions with KG's minutes while the Pistons increased the minutes Sheed and Dyess played often playing them for entire quarters at a time. That is a solid plan right there.
