Victor Alexander sent it to me when he was playing for CSKA Moscow.
Sheed and saunders would both have to go at the same time; saunders would not survive. sheed (for good or bad) has a strange fanbase; sheed will have to change is attitude or it will never work.
Yeah, especially that Roscoe36 guy. He's more than a bit .
But if Sheed believes -- correctly -- that Flip does not know what he is doing as a playoff coach, and that we will not succeed with Flip directing things -- then how on earth is Sheed going to change his attitude? To ask him to be a "company man" in this situation is asking too much of a player with his passion and his commitment to winning. It is asking him to be something he cannot be.
It's Joe's job to figure it all out, to make it work. If he can't, I guess one of the guys will be shipped out of here.
Latrell Sheedwell? <---cooking his kids something to eat...gotta feed the kids.
I think that either: (a) Joe has talked to Bill D. and Davidson has made it clear that Flip will stay; or (b) that he feels a need to say publicly that Flip is fine pending a final decision on whether to retain him. It would not be very good politics for Joe to say that Flip needs to be replaced (or even that "all options are on the table") before he was sure he had lined up somebody better to replace him.
Agreed. But, as NY implies above, if Sheed is shipped out because he thinks Flip is incompetent, and the fans know that is why we let him go, they will ride Flip mercilessly if things don't go well next season. The sounds of boos, catcalls and the like will be deafening.
Told you that Joey D isn't all that he's cracked up to be.
Yes...we're very strange. :nerd2: We appreciate leadership when almost no one else steps up to the plate, guaranSheeds, humorous candor, a voice on the court, Deeetroit D, etc... To me...LB said it best when proclaiming Sheed 'misunderstood'. Flippy don't play that.
This team doesn't seem to respect Flip. If the team tells Joe they don't trust Flip then what choice does he have...trade half the team and tell the rest to put up with a guy getting outcoached most nights? Does Joe even ask the players their impression of their Coach?
C'mon guys, keep the faith. Do you really expect Joe D to come out in public about all of the trades and plans for the team he has in mind? No.
What I find so odd is how we beat a BETTER CHICAGO team so easily and Flip Saunders looks godly to losing 4 straight to a HORRIBLE CAVS team.
That's not leadership. That's lame.
Flip has already shown me enough to ride his %%%%% unmercifully .
There was no gas left in the starters tanks. No coaching moves or adjustments can help a team that is dead tired win. The mistakes were made earlier not developing the bench and riding starters into the sunset.
For all the Flip haters out there, there's an article you'll love: Bleacher Report - The Pistons Let Flip Saunders Get Away with Murder
That is true...i really believe one of them has to go. I cannot fathom losing two wallaces in consecutive seasons because of the great coach..flip saunders. i just do not see it.
