not saying i want curry as the pistons coach, but one thing with keeping them is that it keeps the onus on the players rather than the coach. the players already got a free pass last year by throwing flip under the pass as an excuse for not making the finals...why give them another out?

right, which lends credence to what Walter was saying. until they are ACTUALLY gone (because we really do not know who will or won't be back), don't give them that out, especially so soon after the season.

as i said before, i think joe will keep curry around until he believes he has a team that can compete for a championship, and then he will replace curry as long as there is a better coach who can put us over the top.

Who cares if they have outs, we aren't going to win with MC as a coach anyways. Wade/Kobe/Lebron/Garnett/Howard would get beat by Kazakstan if MC was coaching them.

I agree. I just don't think MC can prepare even those superstars for holding the goat properly.

It was partly Goldwire, but HoJenks (Horace Jenkins) gets the majority of the credit for the Rufus Henry legend.

That kid rode on a trash truck before he made it into the NBA. It was Joe's signing of Jenkins that made me think of him nabbing a permanently disabled CATA bus driver from East Lansing as our guard of the future.

The dancing "Ghetto Pirate" stuff was eventually tacked on, and the legend began, Remo Williams style. :)
