Has done virtually nothing to improve this team over the past few years. Who has he added that has made a significant impact? It's not like we have Pops coaching this team, atleast then you have a coach who can make chicken salad out of chicken s&%t. The lottery pick is coming back to haunt this franchise. They would have had mutiple rings by now.

Lets not jump to any conclusions before the season is over. Yes, the Pistons chances are rather slim, but they can win a few more games this year. Lets just wait and see.

I agree. But still this is all we have at this point. Unless you're going to start looking forward to Lions season.

Be glad that Oden and Durant are not coming East. Then where would the Pistons be?

I've seen enough Blazers in 5 years to last me two lifetimes. That would be a blessing.

Looks like these guys managed to get Joe D. fooled. He probably thought they could still play and had some trust in them. Hopefully this year he's not going to just look at the past achievements. This is a "what have you done for me lately" league.

I did that after Ben signed with Chicago.

Now I'm glad I did it.

I thought you were a closet Raptor fan or at least should be. Aren't you Canadian or born there?

Portland fan sounds like front running the draft to me.

I really like Chris Bosh and I think the Raps are on the right track, but I certainly don't follow them anymore than any other team.

I was a Portland fan back in the Drexler days. Then the Sabonis/Wallace Blazers. I'm not really excited about all the young guys on that team now, but I do like Nate McMillan as a coach.

Nothing was accomplished last summer. I am trying to think about how Dumars made the team better and what his plans were for 06/07 and am not seeing it. Flip Murry and Mohammed. They made some noise about not having a 4 on 5 offense but I think that was mainly for publicity.

Yeah, we should have traded a couple guys after that 64-win season. Maybe everybody. It was so obvious.

<Insert sarcasm> What was obvious was the lack of consistent bench production. That IMO was known for atleast a few years.

Yes but he didn't. And if we lose tomorrow it will still not be as big of an upset as losing to Miami. Last year the Pistons were the odds on favorite to win it all.

So if he did not blow it up last year then why are we expecting it this year?

Two failures in a row has to merit some changes but its not like Dumars is going to fire sell the team into the lottery. What the Bulls did back in 99 was just plain stupid.

Some things we can possibly look forward to is a sign and trade Billups to Denver for AI. CB would be a better fit there and AI would bring some fire and a new attitude to the team, plus someone to take over games every so often. We would improve with that.

Possibly make a run at J.O'Neal or S&T Billups someplace else and trade for Bibby. Maybe even a Ray Allen deal?

Something is going to happen if we lose tommorow but that does not have to be a negative thing.

Needless to say Flip's regime will end.

this has nothing to do with dumars. it has to do with the coaches dumars has. none of the pistons coaches for that last 5 years has tried to develop the bench. the only option coaches have left dumars is to trade for aging vets that will be happy not playing any minutes. we have and have had for years plenty of talent on our bench but the coaches simply won't play them.
