The play call the other night that resulted in Brad Miller getting [STRIKE]a wide open layup[/STRIKE] jacked in the grill by Rondo was a great play call!

...not as good as a Flip Saunders 17 foot jumper out of a timeout or a Michael Curry desperation corner three out of a timeout, but good none the less.

Truth be told; I really miss LB in this regard.
Brown would call a T-O and you just KNEW the Pistons were gonna get an easy bucket coming out of the huddle.

This series is sooo good. Game 7 is going to be epic. I hate the Celtics, go Bulls!

My favorite is the shot clock violation out of a timeout.

It is obscene how much further along Big Baby is then both Max and Amir. He's not even that good and he's better than both of them combined.

A 2nd round pick to boot. I blame Sheed and all his 3 pointers he so loves to chuck up.

Davis's jump shot has been pretty valuable lately. Also, his moving screens are very effective.

In 2 more seasons, he'll be losing the weight battle and will fade away like E. Curry.

So many big plays in last night's game:

Noah's steal, outrunning Pierce fullcourt and the dunk and a foul.

Hinrich's wide open missed layup that look to be tipped by Rondo.

Brad Miller getting 5 points in the last minute of regulation to keep the Bulls alive.

Derrick Rose's block on Pierce at the very end.

John Salmon's hitting one big shot after another.

The intensity reminds me of what Pistons playoff basketball was like before Flip Saunders.

This is why you probably pick the best player available instead of need and see how it pans out.

For Joe, he had Tay in 2003, so ignored Melo, Wade and Bosh and went with some hyped dude named Darko because we did not have a big man in the middle other than some DPOY named Ben. In 2007 he had JMAX, so ignored Big Baby.

In 2008, he ignored Chris Douglas Roberts, the second best player behind Derrick Rose on Memphis runner-up national championship team because we had Fabio to back up tay...:stirthepot:

Really. I'm having to completely readjust my expectations about watching basketball. I could have sworn last night that I was starting to enjoy it. I immediately turned the game off and took a cold shower, but still...

True fans of the game will enjoy a good basketball game it even if you have watch it from the stands/or on TV just like your favorite team did...:sssh:

I think it is also good if the players are willing to work and expand their games and their teams can help them with this.

There were some pretty good play calls out of timeouts in those OT periods. The play I was referring to in that post was the one where they inbounded the ball to Brad Miller 40 feet from the basket and he got caught in a trap and they didn't even get a shot off (I think this was at the end of reg. or the 1st OT, but I'm not sure).

That's actually Mike Curry's go-to play out of a timeout. Unlike Miller though, Sheed will manage to get that 40 footer up (usually an airball).

Yeah, but now MC can refine that play and add the part where you throw the ball on the floor and have a scrum. That's going in the playbook.

You heard it here first, but look for a possible Garnett sighting in a green uniform..........................................the sweat has been ruining his suits

It seems counter-intuitive for me to root for the Bulls. I haven't since the Jordan era. But times have changed and this is the Celtics they are playing.

    Go Bulls.

Originally, I picked the Celtics in 6 games figuring that even w-out KG, they could handle the Bulls. But even then, I figured that if it went 7 games, Da Bulls were money...Younger, more hungry team. Besides, I picked them to finish higher than the Pistons this season. I knew they'd come on strong to close this season out.

Conspiracy time: Celtics already down KG,,,,NBA can't have Rondo sitting out a game too and the defending chumps go down in the first round. He can probably get away with kicking Rose or Gordon in the family jewels in the first qtr and stay in the game long enough to hit the winning tear drop with 0.2 seconds in the game,.:sssh:.

As big as Lebron is, the Cavs stunk it up in the 07 finals, so the league would probably rather see a finals rematch so that they can bring out all of their archive footage like the did last year....
