I'm starting to believe in Orlando. They played without Howard and still beat Philly on the road for the series clincher. I hope they whip the Celts and I hope Howard beats some sense into that Rondo punk. Dre, you are absolutely right with the conspiracy theory. Rondo should've received a suspension. He was totally out of control in the Bulls series. He threw an elbow. The fact that he couldn't connect shouldn't matter. If Howard sits out a game for throwing an elbow, so should Rondo. I hope Orlando embarrasses the Celts.
I am wondering if Heinrick had not gotten up off the scorers table and had to be carried off on a stretcher with an injured back etc. if the league would have looked at differently?? Little guys can get away with those things I guess??
I'm thinking the reports of the end of the Celts playoff run are a little exaggerated. The Magic really haven't done anything yet, and the Celtics are rounding into form. Rondo and Allen will be very hard for the Magic to stop, and Pierce can get what he wants pretty much whenever he wants it. If Perkins can stay out of foul trouble, and Doc may need to use every single one of Mikki Moore's fouls to make that happen, then it's anybody's series. The Magic didn't play playoff caliber ball against Philly, and with the long layoff could easily stumble badly tonight.
Bingo. That being said w/o KG, BOS presents a very good match-up for ORL. It's not out of the question they get to the ECF and then get owned by a "typical ECF' team in CLE. I do however expect Ray Allen and PP to have a MUCH easier time this series.
I really hope Magic can put the Celtics away. If I have to see the alien-looking Rondo doing idiotic things and not getting trouble on my TV screen any more, I might fling my tv controller at it. Lebron is the MVP, but Hawks should be good.
Just imagine if Rondo makes it through to the ECF and seriously hurts the NBA poster boy. I'll bet he gets a lifetime ban in that scenario.
