Howard had a monster game with 46 pts and 19 boards. But it was all in vain as the Magic dropped their first home game against the Hawks. Howard's BFF Nelson scored 27 pts, but the rest of the team scored 20 pts COMBINED. Howard did stuff like this, and this, but nobody else did anything.

Rose dropped 39 pts, 6 boards, 6 assists and 3 blocks on the Pacers. Including the play of the day: Play of the Day | NBA.com#

Philly jumped on the Heat early with a 31-19 1st quarter, but couldn't maintain it. Too bad.

Howard is a BEAST. Imagine if he would have been the third superfriend instead of Bosh.

Remember when Sheed used to OWN Dwight Howard. I never worried about Orlando back then, I knew Sheed was in his head.

Atlanta took a page out of our playbook... play him strong one on one and don't double.... all of the magic's shooters were hardly in the game... Never have and never will believe in that team.

Carmelo showed what a knucklehead he is today. With lots of time left on the clock, he jacks up a 30-footer instead of attacking the hoop to win the game.

Carmello has never impressed me. And Chauncey wasn't hittin' too good either, then got hurt....

You're right. Chauncey's shot was off. Even when he isn't scoring, though, he does a nice job of running the show. We certainly took that for granted when he wore the Piston blue.

Carmelo did a pretty good job guarding Pierce yesterday, but that play at the end of the game was inexcusable. You could see them missing Chauncey because as soon as he went out, Amar'e stopped getting the ball. Toney Douglas had no interest in moonlighting as a PG for 2 minutes.

This might be the only good series in the East. Hawks/Magic could be competitive at least. The Atlanta Hawks are probably the worst good team I've seen in a while and Orlando seems to be preparing for the Dwight Howard farewell tour. Not a lot being brought to the table by anyone else. Their shooters need to remember to figure out how to shoot.

I think Atlanta can knock off the Magic.

'Melo is a loser. That was a horribly boneheaded play at the very end. Knicks finally put together a decent team, but still have a loser of a coach and a primadonna in Melo. Celts will probably win that in 5 games; especially with Chauncey out.

Atlanta is a better TEAM than Orlando. This will become more evident during this playoff series. Many of the press will increase speculation about Howard's farwell by the end of this series, as he goes it alone...

The Knicks had their chance and now they're finished. They needed game one to force a series out of Boston.

What exactly makes Melo a loser? Him only being out of the first round once?

It's obvious that the Knicks don't know how to close a game giving up the game winners in the final 20 seconds of both games 1 & 2 and then cannot penetrate the Celtics defense to get the winning bucket in either game.

You have to wonder if Billups had been in on the last play of either game, would he have found the key player to convert the winning bucket? Toney Douglas was hitting the threes in crunch time, to keep them in both games so would he have even been out there to hit the buckets if Billups had been healthy?

BIG game from Melo tonight. How can he possibly get that many more rebounds than A'ma'r'e?

The Magic really dodge a bullet as they almost blew a 12 pt lead with less than 3 minutes to go. That Hawks 10-0 run was almost extended to 12 as DHow lost the ball and Jameer Nelson was able to save it back to Dhow who got it over to turkeyglu for the bucket to stop the run....

33 and 19 for Dhow..... Hawks Jamal Crawford 25 of the bench....why wasn't six man of the year??

They should have taken out Jefferies....he went from hero to goat within 20 seconds. Also,Knicks assistant coaches should be taken to task. Not paying attention to details killed them in these two games. The defensive player should have followed Delonte. Doc has outcoached D'Antoni down the stretch.

I have a tremendous dislike for Kevin Garnett and Lebron.....i don't think it is healthy.
