    4.7%
  3. Pistons will dominate and sweep series.

    9.3%
  4. Boston will win, another 7 game series.

    2.3%
  5. Detroit will win 7 game series.

    11.6%
  6. Boston will win series, only reason - AA and Amir see no or limited PT!

Sorry, but Big Ben wasn't so big against KG. They can't seem to score a 100 no matter where they are. That'll be the key thing in our favor if we can take advantage.

We need to take a queue from the Lakers and Karl Malone in 04' and beat the hell out of KG with Theo, Dyess, and Max. No double teaming.

Rough him up, plenty of fouls to use. Get Tay rest, give spellcheck at least 10 mins a game vs Jesus and Pierce.

I have to disagree with you there. I'm optimistic this year because IMO the Pistons have shown more heart than in the past two years. Winning that Game 4 in Orlando without Chauncey when they could have just rolled over facing a 15-point deficit in the 3rd quarter, or playing some shutdown D in Game 5 even though their shots weren't falling...

Add to that the fact that Boston is clearly the media darling so the Pistons won't have any problem seeing themselves as the underdog rather than the heavy favorite...that Boston has HCA and hasn't yet lost a home game... and I fully expect the Pistons to come out with a vengeance in Game 1.

I think Pistons will lose game one, win game two and win the series in 6.

Let's see: 1) Boston's the media darling 2) Pistons have been flying under the radar 3) Boston's played two seven game series 4) Pistons are rested, CB probably pretty close to full strength.

So it looks a recipe for Pistons to steal game 1!

Except, they're the Pistons, so they won't. They lose game 1. But then win Game 2. Awesome right, because Boston "can't win on the road in the playoffs." So the Pistons ought to head back to Boston up 3-1.

Except they're the Pistons, so they won't. Boston wins game 3 to go up 2-1. Pistons however, feeling that pressure they seem to need, come back to win game 4 at the Palace and game 5 at the Garden, to take a 3-2 lead.

From here, my head says Pistons blow game 6 and just can't take a game 7 at the Garden.

But my heart says Pistons win that Game 6 to take the series.

I really don't have a feel for what is going to happen this series. Nothing would surprise me. I feel like we are pretty evenly matched, but that their defense will frustrate us. On the other hand, I could see our guys focusing all their frustrations from the last couple years into a tsunami of effort.

I think I'll just sit back and watch.

Concur, I guess the only thing that would surprise me is if everything holds serve with home court until game 7 ie the Pistons get game 7 in Boston.

Or if the series goes 4 or 5 games and is over, I really see 6 as the minimum.

Flip vs Doc is as even of a matchup as LB vs Phil Jackson.

I voted for the "Triple A" option.
    Nice pulse Prof.
How about we keep this series Eastern...7 - 143 point totals games.
To contrast the West 200 point totals games ?
How wo wants some Dee ?

Obviously an upset Celtics fan. Why do fans of other teams feel the need to come to PISTONSFORUM.COM? You won't find me at BUYAWASHEDUPTEAM.COM even if Sam Cassell IS hosting a chat session. I'll give it to KG and Pierce but the rest of those clowns? Over-rated or over-the-hill.

    Hey Ray Allen,

Have fun chasing Rip around those screens.

I actually live near Boston and work just across the Charles River from The Gaahden. I hate the fans out here, so biased but I guess that would be any fan living in enemy territory. In case you are curious as to how they see the match-up out here check it out.

Metro - Celtics and Pistons are set for a classic matchup

May I point out that they give the center edge "slightly to the Celtics". What?!?!?! Perkins is one of the most over-rated players in the league! He's MAYBE one step up from an over-the-hill Ben Wallace! I'd take Dice and Max ANYDAY over the guys they shuffle in at the 5 spot.

And the coaching edge? I know Flip won't win coach of the year any time soon but Doc Rivers? If he's so great, don't you think they could have at least 1 road win by now?

That's why I'm glad the Pistons are playing the Celtics in the ECF this year and not the Cavs! :pound:

Ray Allen is gettin a LOT of heat for his lack of play as it is and now has to face Rip. Wally outdid him. So it's only the Big 2. WE still have the Big 4!
