I played three times and Pistons got Andre Drummond with the 4th, 2nd and 3rd picks??? He must be our destiny?? Also of the first 14 prospects, there was one senior, 2 juniors, 6 sophomores and 5 freshmen. Also there were two 6'5 shooting guards and the rest 6-7 and taller front court men. So even with we fell as low as the 5th pick, there is a big for us to train and this doesn't include the foreign players over seas waiting to be drafted.
I played once and we got Thomas Robinson with the 4th pick. He is a power forward from Kansas, but I'm sure our clueless coach would play him at small forward or center.
I seriously doubt we will get the 1 pick unless we tank even harder lol Robinson and Drummond are both pretty sweet looking players. Would be happy with either. Although Drummond would push out Munroe to the PF which could be good
There have been recent reports stating that he is leaning towards returning to UConn, but there is still plenty of time for a kid to change his mind...
I got exactly that the first time. Then I think it was 5, 7, 11. Then I played later that night. I got 4th with Robinson again. Then 3. Then I knew I shoulda stopped there. I got 6.
Played the first time got the number 2 and Drummond first, then Davis the second try, got him the third time too. This was when the team only had 4 wins. Now I got 4,4,5,6,6,1. 4s are Robinson, 5/6 is Perry Jones and 1 is of course Davis. This is what I did after almost every game on that godawful 4 game road trip. Lottery therapy.
I played 3 times. Got Perry Jones with the 5th and 6th pick then got Drummond with the 2nd pick. I don't like our chances of getting an impact player if we fall to the 5yh or 6th pick which means we need to tank more to ensure at least a top 3 pick. Winning games does nothing this year, but perhaps lenghten the pain of losing at the same pace next year.
^They still have us picking number 2 I see. IF we miss out on Davis, who do you guys want/think JD will go for? Arnett Moultrie moved UP. He was a mid-first the last time I checked.
I know I'll get killed for this, but if not Davis and no Drummond, I like Jeremy Lamb. BK, Lamb, Jerebko, Monroe and another big man from a trade involving Stuckey, Gordon, CV, Tay and the kitchen sink.
Gotta go with Cody Zellar. He's a freshman center who reminds me of Darko. C'mon JD...Just do it......
He's okay. Wouldn't be my personal pick though; not that I dislike him or anything, I just think his and Monroe's games won't mesh well. As for Lamb, if we can move BG/Stuck maybe, but we need a 4/3 much more than another two guard. Of the 4s not named Davis, I like KU's Thomas Robinson - except that he's a bit undersized so maybe not the best fit. I really want JD to get another pick somehow like Cleveland did and grab a 4 and a 3; not holding my breath though.
I agree. I think that Sullinger and Monroe could put up good numbers together, but I also believe that we would have a hard time actually winning games with those two logging heavy minutes together. We need to be able to defend the paint. I could see us forced to draft him though, and move one of them at a a later date for a player who is a better fit. If Joe thinks that this draft has a swingman who could be a "go-to", 20+ ppg, then I'm fine with drafting him. I'm not interested in a complimentary perimeter player in the least.
We'll see how the kid feels in April, when his season is done, he's no longer constantly around his teammates, and he's staring millions of dollars in the face.
I'm tired of having a team of complimentary players only........... Now.........those complimentary onion rings at Burger King last weekend......those were wonderful.
