Eton Thomas anyone. He is 31, and undersized Center with a past heart condition which evidently had no residual effects last season.

He could be had for the vet minimum. Would he be a better pickup than Ben Wallace?

I don't think he was released, but rather traded...

Minnesota Timberwolves trade center Etan Thomas to Oklahoma City for Damien Wilkins and Chucky Atkins - TwinCities.com

I like having a stable of big men. These guys are big, they can foul, and they get injured.

Kwame, Wilcox, Wallace... all have W's in their names. Can't go wrong with W's.

    Atkin's the carpetbagger...

Chucky Atkins just got traded for the 7th time? That's frickin amazing. If he's got nine lives he's getting too close for comfort to the last two.

Seriously that's a tough feat in todays NBA. Considering he's 34, 5'11 and might go 170lbs with rocks in his pockets.

Usually, someone gets that much "kinda like ya - kinda don't", would have been playing somewhere like Spain, Holland or somewhere even further east for the last couple years.

He's had just enough drops on those shots to keep him floating..but..last season his 3 point fg% dipped under 30%.. Now entering the last year of his contract and taking home a not too shabby $3.4M makes him a small chunk of prime beef in the salary cap reduction arena. Can you say Trade #8 coming up soon?

This time next year he's learning to say "Dobraye ootra"....

Cool. For non Pistons stuff I will always put into thread mentioned in my previous post. For Piston related stuff, I will see how the rest of the board do it. I assume that Piston related stuff will probably be very minimal for another 2 months or so..

Ooops! You Sir have attracted the PistonsForum police with your double down on article posts! YOU know what this means - you'll have to spend the next 2 weeks alone in the Mlive Pistons forum!! Now gather your personals and prepare yourself for isolation in the idiot tank..

(Just kidding, :pound:don't worry about it..kick some stuff around and make yourself at home)

I don't want to mis represent myself, I am not a doc. My first and middle initial are D-R.. Although I have a MS degree and MBA, if we put them together it more then equals the the class work needed for a PhD :)

Let's see what Joe's next move is. I have said the following now on every thread (I think) I have posted to. Because of the economics I think we should wait until mid season and see if any small/mid market team will have a fire sale just so they don't lose even more money!!

I no longer live in Michigan, but one thing is for sure. NO STATE supports their team like the great people that live in or around the state of Michigan. Except for the people that live in Ohio. We all know they suck!! Just kidding!!

With that said, Joe has much more financial freedom then most of the other teams!! So a BIG THANK YOU to those of you that go to the games and spend money on the team.. I am sure that BG and CV would also like to say thanks!!

    That's ok, I'm not a real jammertime.

I was just too lazy to type out your entire username.
