There is no backup shooting guard except English and he may need some time in the D-league. Middleton could play both backup 2 and 3. Singular backup 3. So that leaves Daye out. Main thing I can think of is some built in redundancy since we don't really know what we have yet.

We currently have 14 players under contract even without Macklin. One player have to go to sign both Wallace and Pippa.

Looks like Howard is finally getting moved.

The Lakers will receive Dwight Howard, the Denver Nuggets will acquire Andre Iguodala, the 76ers will receive Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson, and the Magic will get Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic and one protected future first-round pick from each of the other three teams.

In addition, the Magic will be getting other pieces, including 76ers No. 1 draft pick Moe Harkless

Well, certainly one would not expect to find them on further extraneous bombardments from body socks to advertising signs. Maybe the solution for Gores is to have them glow or glitter. Might take away from the half-time show though.

So no Ben unless a trade is made or someone is cut/amnestied.

I can't wait to watch Middleton not play this year!
He'll be a good free agent signing for someone next summer.

What would be the odds of that team medaling at the olympics (assuming they replaced the dream team)?

I think Tunisia would have a hard time matching up.

They cut our premier FA signing before he even tried out. They might be at a level that we can't even comprehend.

I think that Rodney Stuckey would back me up in saying that this is the best team in the league (on paper).

Looks like a team that is going to struggle but will get better. Too bad we gave away a 1st round pick just to get rid of Gordon who we actually could have used this year.
