I look at it this way Max....we didn't even have a Ben Gordon appreciation thread when he left. That pretty much tells you all you need to know.

Was just reading the article on Bynum on pistons.com and don't have much to base this on other than his great national play (and my patriotism), but if we are going to put a pint sized PG on the floor as backup for BK, I would love it if we could trade Bynum for Patty Mills. Don't think he has had enough chance to show what he can deliver at Portland and San Antonio.

Joe is working hard to balance the roster, with only Daye, JJ, Maggy, Middleton, Tay, Singler, Stuckey and English able to play the 3 on this team another SF could be the piece that puts us over the top. He may be a headcase and a pretty mediocre player, but he plays a position the Pistons need to deepen.

    I love Patty Mills.

Especially when he dropped that buzzer beating bomb all over Russia's face.

A couple of homers touting Mills  , but I agree - he is better than Bynum. Has more range for sure. Mills is a scoring guard but he has better PG sense and skills than Bynum. Would keep the hustle theme of the 2nd unit along with the likes of English and Jerebko as well.

But in the end, if BK is playing well, it's not going to matter much.

I'd also be interested in Williams. He can handle to ball and makes plays. As a 'SF', he averages a lot of dimes. Showed a strong 2nd half in his rookie season and in Houston got stuck in Adelman's doghouse.

I want neither of Bynum or Mills. Gimme the one with the lowest salary and the shortest contract.

Look I'm not a homer, but Patty Mills could be better than Chris Paul. A true franchise player.

Ok, I thought everyone knew this but just to remind - we don't need any more small forwards.

The only way I even consider TWill is if we drop Maglight at the very least.

Such a hater of the Patty flavour. :burp:

For old times sake, it would be good to have a Pistons player with the name "Mills" in the back of his jersey again.

I'm really conflicted on this one.
T-Will is an idiot who no-shows or shows up late to practices, team functions, etc. He's basically Rodney White 2.0.
...On the other hand, he averaged a triple double during the 3 games that he was sent to the NBDL by the Nets (for being late to practices). If he's actually added to the roster, he instantly becomes the most athletic Piston SF out of the 10 or 11 SFs that Joe currently has on the roster. He'd be basically free by NBA salary standards and was a lottery pick in 2009.

If you can somehow find a way to get rid of Daye and another guy for some future picks, I like the idea of taking a chance on Williams. We always complain about Piston players being one-dimmensional; T-Will can score, rebound and is a willing and effective passer.

If you can get around the fact that Joe is considering adding another Small Forward to a team that already has enough to form a separate SF-only league, Terrence Williams is worth taking a chance on.

Seems to be no-risk, at this point. It takes longer for some to mature than others. Perhaps he knows this is his last chance and will get things in order.

He has more tats than the rest of the team combined and reportedly owns over 300 pairs of sneakers, so there might be some jealousy issues when we bring him in.

I'm wondering if he really has any shot with the team or if Joe is pleasuring his agent. Why not take a look though.

As long as it's Daye, Tay, Bad Porn or BoT that's a goner I'm all for this. The roster is full so someone needs to leave.

When he entered the league, everyone thought that he was gonna be this "elite" guy and he never turned out that way.
He seems like a cool guy, does a lot of Charity stuff.

That being said, he's the wrong fit on a young Detroit team and he should be booed every time he touches the ball. :washing:

I'm not sure why, but having Maggette on the team really depresses me.
