His misleading last name makes him sound like he is worth more than he actually is. On a positive note, it looks like Pujols may be pulling out of that terrible slump and may no longer be waiver wire fodder. @ Bill: Oh, by the way, nothing personal, but I plan to change the settings by removing all categories that you are doing well in. @ the rest of the league- So you don't need to make any adjustments. I couldn't find any categories he was good at. @ Jammer-I was messing around with the settings [STRIKE]to screw Bill over [/STRIKE]looking to see where I could [STRIKE]give myself every advantage possible[/STRIKE] make improvements and I accidentally deleted your team from our league. Rest assured, I'm working on the problem. As always, I am here to work for you guys. Please send any suggestions or concerns you may have to the following: ireallydontgivearatsass.com Fondly, Your Commissioner from Hell. Have a nice day
@ Billiam Have you noticed that any time a pitcher gets a strikeout or a batter gets a hit, that you and I race to the waiver wire to pick him up? I think we need to slow down with this nonsense or we will run out of moves by mid-June...ok, you go first...
Ladies and gentleman, I present to you...Bill Laimbeer's first round draft choice. The same guy that he was making fun of me for passing up... and this was before todays o fer was figured in... Albert Pujols - St. Louis Cardinals - MLB - Yahoo! Sports
Damnit. I knew I should have made fun of Laimbeer's Pujols more while I had the chance. He's baaaaaaaack.
The 12 Steps For Piston Forum Fantasy Baseball Owners Step 1 - We admitted we were powerless over our addiction to fantasy baseball - that our lives had become unmanageable Step 2 - Came to believe that a team greater than ourselves (Darth Tater's) could drive us to insanity Step 3 - Made a decision to turn our draft choices over to the care of the computer Step 4 - Made a searching inventory of the best players available and used up all of our waiver moves only halfway through the season. Step 5 - Admitted to the league, to ourselves and to other owners the exact nature of our losses Step 6 - Were entirely ready to have The Commissioner remove all these defective owners like Woody Step 7 - Humbly asked Rascoe to remove Laimbeer from the league Step 8 - Made a list of all persons (e.g. Jammertime ) we had harmed, by kicking their butts and became willing to make amends to him...NOT. Step 9 - Made direct assaults at such people wherever possible, especially when to do so would injure their teams Step 10 - Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it...Not happening. Step 11 - Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our batting averages and ERA's. Step 12 - Having a championship trophy posted on the forum as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to other addicts, and to practice these principles in all our fantasy leagues.
Darth, That is a really impressive list that you made. You must have invested a significant amount of time into it. It is very clever and witty, as well. Your contributions to this forum are immeasurable.
Billiam, whatever E.F. Hutton IS...you are NOT. = I spent a lot of time working on this [STRIKE](by my calculations at least 8.5 minutes)[/STRIKE] and I'm sure it shows. I never take shots at you. When I talk about your fantasy teams it is merely to offer constructive criticism because it is obvious that you struggle to reach even mediocrity...time and time again. My feelers are hurt right now. Don't you ever have anything positive to say about my work? Maybe I'm being a bit hard on you. I just looked at the standings and I see why you are hurting. Do you need a hug from the league? Your Commissioner (from HELL). Have a nice day.

Hey, Bill. Why did you dump Pujols? Was it because of the slump or did [STRIKE]the Commissioner from hell?[/STRIKE] push a wrong button? I think you gave up on him too early. He seemed to be pulling out of it. I've got a number 8 waiver so I'm going to take a flier on him. I figure that should be good enough. Have a nice day. You know you are going to run to our fantasy homepage to check to see if I really did it. You KNOW you will!
Don't scare me like that. I just ran to the fantasy homepage to check to see if you really did that. Actually, my 12th round pickup, Curtis Granderson, has more home runs (6) than Albert Pujols (5) right now.
LOL. Pujols has a lot more than my first pick, Votto, but he is doing well. I would do the same thing again. :nerd2: I really love my team. My pitching staff is awesome on paper even though they suck in real life. I always have one or two guys screw everything up in a given week. My hitting had been awesome too...except when I play Lame Jr., like this week. Then I get his best and I do my worst. I like all of my players. I guess my best picks were Starlin Castro in the later rounds and Tabata in the middle. I'm killing myself on the wire. I'm not Tatering. Just trying to balance my lineup but I am using all my moves early. Half of them have been picking up and dropping the same 3 or 4 guys over and over.
This is helpful. Thanks Tater. Just an FYI, I reported this post and asked an admin if they could add it to the 1st post in this thread. I know that I'll want to refer back to it a number of times throughout the season, and with the amount of talking you guys do, it'll get lost amongst the pages of posts in no time.
