Jammer was 10-2 last week and is 10-0 this week. I get him next week. I hope his players cool down.

Not until you just pointed it out. My trophies are so piled with dust and cobwebs you almost can't even see them any more.

I see my hitters went back to their old ways yesterday. Through Wednesday they really exploded. However, I see my previously rock steady pitching staff imploded. Big time. Should be an interesting remainder of the weekend. Right now I'm stomping Junior...must still be the regular season, huh?

As long as I can remember........you've been a 5 time fantasy champion. I guess you must have brought those with you from your previous life.

It's funny. offhand, I think 2 or 3 of those teams ended up in 1st place in the regular season. One of them was as low as 3rd. But I was very fortunate in the post season in a couple of those championships or playoff rounds. Once I remember edging Jammer by one run to win the ship. Another year in the semis I beat Junior by 1 or 2 strikeouts and went on to win big in the championship match. Both the close ones came down to the last minutes.

Then in hockey, I lost on the last day to Woody when Lindstrom hit a short handed assist, of all things.

Last year I won the baseball division by over 20 games, but got killed in the playoffs and went home empty handed. Go figure. Sometimes you just have an off week or an opponent gets fortunate and just goes off for a week. Sometimes you just meet a superior team.

I think the regular season is about 80% skill, but the playoffs are over 50% luck. Or something like that.

I was very lucky in the early days. Fairly unlucky after that.

I really have no clue as to what I am doing. But this year, I've decided to have lots of fun doing it. :bounce:

    Let me help you............
This week, your hitters are doing well, but your pitchers stink.
You keep changing the name of your team............
You have more movement then ex-lax......
    You're currently in 7th place.........
The pitcher you just picked up has 13 innings....with 10 walks...........:cold:

I'd say that you're floundering.........like the rest of us.........except Jammer.

Alex Avila is on my team........He is currently the 3rd best catcher on my roster. I wish to trade him. He has potential, but I'm no longer interested in carrying any more Tigers on my roster...as they believe in the swoon.
Serious offers will be considered...All positions I have interest in.......except catcher.

My 2nd baseman got 5 hits today......including 2 HRs. Unfortunately, the rest of my players only got 4 more hits. I'm finishing the day down 4-7-1 for the week. uuuuggggggghhhhh.

Of course my starting pitcher gave up 2 runs, got 10 strikeouts....but gains no victory.
So I lose my wins category as my other scheduled starter suddenly is made a reliever...
and doesn't pitch today.........lost strikeouts by 2 also. Matt Cain and Clayton Kershaw
    have 12 starts so far this season.........and 3 wins...:angrysoapbox:

That's nothing. My first/third baseman (Chris Davis) threw two scoreless innings for the Orioles and recorded the first position player to pitch for a win in over 40 years.

Yes, he went 0 for 8 a the plate and probably killed me in the OBP category, but still...

At the current rate he is picking up players today, Laimbeer will be be out of his allotted roster moves for the week before the dinner bell rings tonight.

No longer possible to avoid Jammer and his 2 week record of 19-5.............

My hitters are ready as all 10 have at least 5 HRs so far...along with at least 10 runs and 10 RBIs each...

My pitchers will show up and probably embarrass themselves. Although I like my planned strategy......

    Prediction..........9-2-1.........just kidding...:)

Quit crying, Mr. mousetail knife fish. You've got Rascoe (the version from hell), Jammer, Junior and Sr. coming up consecutively. Have fun with THAT. We will see if you can maintain your 2 game lead over me after running the gauntlet I just did. (You were on there too). Can you think of a tougher schedule?

At the risk of whining worse than fish boy, I did lose 2 guys (Rivera, Luebke) to season-ending injuries last week. Yesterday, I lost 2 more guys (Werth, Downs) to injuries. My team is so crippled at this point, I was forced to put Albert Pujols into my starting lineup.

The team holds on after a slow start and comes back to win a close and hard fought battle.... now onto the evil one himself... he'll probably cheat to win.
