It was a chemistry joke. Man, you are denser than Drath. (you have to say it out loud...."Your team is good, bro. Mine is better, though.")

Brandon Inge has 3 HRs and 12 RBIs this week... He's hot and ready for a good season.
Now that he's with Oakland...the pressure is off.................Go get em Bill...:)

@ nemo...What exactly are you planning to do with THREE (3) catchers? I prefer just grabbing the best one in the league with a mid round draft choice and calling it good.

Let's look at the Numbers so far.......

    Your guy....Molina - 18 runs, 4 HRs, 16RBIs, .302 BA, .353 OBP.....not bad,

    My guy....Ruiz - 13 runs, 6 HRs, 20 RBIs, .319 BA, .356 OBP......Maybe a touch better.

I actually drafted Avila to be my starting catcher, but am now trying to deal him away....

    BUT.........I also have Pierzynski - 11 runs, 5 HRs, 21RBIs, .275 BA, .312 OBP....not a bad insurance policy,
as catchers can go out at anytime.

I keep both catchers playing because they both meet my most important needs.
My starters need AT LEAST 5 HRs and 20 RBIs - at this point of the season - to play...............:)

You wanna trade for Avila....you sure could use a good back-up right about now...........:)

I promise to be fair and give you the good friend discount...........

I'm sandbagging right now. My team should be peaking right about week #8....about the same time your team will hit rock bottom. :)

I'm surprised that you call your strategy sandbagging. Calling it Darthing seems so much more logical..........

Drath and I were regular season and overall champions, respectively, last year. It is just a matter of time before the skillful GMs will rise to the top and the good-fortuned pretenders will fall to their natural positions at the bottom.....

    "Darthing"?

nemo, I know you want to learn to catch flies or something like that, but you are new to this this baseball thing, and it is only one month into the season. You really should learn to cook fries to respect you elders. You should earn respect from us guys.

Now...I know I do whine and pout...quite a bit, in fact, and I'm the first to admit it. But you see, little fishie, I am rather good at this. If my team is not rolling over my opposition, to ME, that is disaster.THAT makes me very unhappy. I am a crappy winner and a crappier loser.

If you had studied your history while swimming in school, you will notice some championship trophies (2007 & 2008). That means that I, the Darth of "Darthing" won it all. I know you've never seen one of those shiny things on your shelf, but let me tell you, they are nice to have. That is MY standard. THAT is Darthing!!! Oh...and Laimbeer went "Darthing" in 2011 when he won the trophy just last season. We somehow missed a couple along the way but we've learned from that. Now, it is time for you to be taught. Now listen for once in your life.

Lesson number one...You've been very lucky so far.
Lesson number two...You can't talk crap until you win a baseball trophy.
Lesson number three...You aren't going to win the aforementioned trophy.

You sound like JD fans who say he won a championship and went to 6 ECFs as a GM.
It's a new day Darth as You and Bill will have to earn your way back to the top.............
At least both of you should pass me in the standings before you feel like you're back on top.
You may have won some fantasy trophy, but My grandfather won a Real MLB World Series.
..........and that's where my knowledge base comes from. He taught and I listened.
Baseball is not just my game..........it's my heritage....................I see a boatload of crap coming your way...:)

Finishing in the middle is a nice goal for you during your first season.

Doesn't matter whether Laimbeer is 1st or 6th. It probably doesn't matter whether YOU are 4th or 2nd. Don't kill yourself positioning yourself for the title. The entire season...every day...becomes moot. If you have 3 good weeks in a row in the post season you'll win it all. Simple as that! So just get in.

Me. You can stick my team in 9th as far as I'm concerned. All I know is that wherever I finish I will NOT finish below Thee TfD.

    I will predict I finish in.......................................drum roll please........................................................8th place.

I'm like Flip Saunders because the regular season means a lot to me. I remember finishing 7-6 in football and I was saddened.
An 8-5 finish and I woulda been on top of the world. I did not expect to win football cause my team wasn't rfeady, but I did a
good job managing my players. That's what made football so enjoyable to me. If I'm top two in regular season baseball
...I don't care what happens during the playoffs. I'll be estatic.........:)
