Lotta action on the rosters this week. I've got Berkman, Howard, and Ellsbury on the DL now.
That's 100 HRs and 425 RBIs off my annual production. Weekly, I'm losing 4 HRs and 13 RBIs.
Having Larry, Moe, and Shemp as their replacements hasn't helped much. :stooges:

May sound like I'm whining, but actually I'm enjoying this experience.

Rounds Babys really put a hurt on his last opponent. After looking at his stats, I'm glad I avoided that buzz saw.

Holds are like SBs, 1 or 2 and you win the slot.

My team averages 5 SB and 3 HLD per week. Then again, my team sucks.

round had a super incredible week. I'm glad I avoided him too. I feel sorry for the guy who played him. He deserved better.

It was funny. During the draft, round bemoaned drafting in the middle (#5).. Laimbeer piped in a said that going in the middle was the best spot. The Rascoenator replied to Laimbeer and said something to the effect of Laimbeer having a great sense of humor. I totally agreed (not with Rascoe about Laimbeer but with Laimbeer's analysis). (I didn't say anything at the time about me thinking Laimbeer was totally serious due to the fact that it makes me ill to agree with the man...fortunately, I seldom find myself agreeing with him. he really isn't very bright). I don't know why i didn't speak up. I was really hoping to go in the middle of this particular draft and was thrilled when I got the 6th spot. Anyhow, at present, it would appear round did very well as he holds first place very early in the season.

On the other hand, Kemp has been going crazy for the Cannuckian. Not bad for an old guy who should have retired years ago. (I mean Kemp...not Rascoe...although if the shoe fits...).

Last week...Somehow I won pretty big. I was sure I was going to get slaughtered. I don't ever remember being outnumbered so bad (both with pitching AND hitting). Luck was with me. (Laimbeers hitting was even worse than mine and my excellent pitching was a tad better than his).

If you raise your average to 8 or 9 per game, you MAY even be able to beat ME in that category. (although I fully realize that I will run into Laim- O or junior in the 1st round of the playoffs and they will total 15 stolen bases by Wednesday afternoon).

My team lacks any kind of power but they sure can speed around the bases with the best of them.

You're going to be tough Rascoe, but I've supplied my team with fur coats and mukluks and for the road games in Cannuckia and my guys tell me they are up for the challenge. I've also supplied each player with currency for the trip.

My guys love playing your squad. They tell me they have a couple of very good reasons, but I can't figure out what they could be???

    You're crushing me, Rascoe.

But regardless, I could get away with only a 5-7 loss if i get lucky. I need Steals, Wins, Strikeouts, Saves, and Holds.

I think Steals and Holds will go my way.

But I will need some luck for Wins, Strikeouts and Saves. But there is hope. If I get 4 or 5 I will consider myself very fortunate. Maybe i can at least tie a couple.

35 Runs. Seriously. Save some for next week, will ya?Sheesh.

Rascoe's team is very hot to start the year....perhaps it is peaking a tad bit early....
