The 10th manager to make our league a go is a college student that was in one of my classes last year. His name is Chris. He plays fantasy sports all the time. He usually plays 2 or 3 football teams and 2 or 3 baseball teams each year. He is a nice guy and will be a conscientious manager. He is a math major, so perhaps he will over-think his strategies like me. He sent me an email that said "prepare to be beaten."

Here is your translation guide, Nemo:

    Round: Rounds Babys
    JammerTime: Jammer Pants
    Nemo: Nemo's White Sox
    Chris: Baseball Time
    theeTFD: thewwhhhiff
    Bezeach: bezeach
    Rascoe: Sandwich Microwaves
Laimbeer's kid: Long Live The Inge
    Darth Tater: September Blues
    BillLaimbeer: Laim Legends

The draft is set for Sunday, March 18 6:30pm EDT
The draft order will be determined approximately 30 minutes before draft time.

Darth usually has a good regular season team (think Flip Saunders), so you may have your hands full in week #2. If you draw Darth in the playoffs, though, think of it like a bye.

    Inge...Jr.

    Baseball time...Lames friend.

    Wifffff...Thee TFD

    bezeach...mute

    Too easy, Cannuckian...

The average cruising airspeed velocity of an unladen European Swallow is roughly 11 meters per second, or 24 miles an hour.

I remember who won the regular season by a whopping 21.5 games over the 2nd best team. Was it THAT team? :frusty:

I had named my team "September Blues" to commemorate that experience. But maybe I should change it to "Flip Saunders".

I can't imagine a person winning a fantasy baseball league regular season by over 21 games........then choking it away during the playoffs.

The equivalent would be for the Pistons to face the Heat in the finals this year, and beat them in a 7 game series.

I Agree . I So So So totally agree.

I think I had won 10 matches in a row (many by large margins) going into the playoff bye. I played Jr. in the 1st round. Seriously, If I recall, he had around 4 guys playing on a Monday and 3 of them belted two home runs on Monday. Insane. He averaged maybe 8 home runs an entire week that season. My guys made an effort to catch him the rest of the week, but we fell short.

Then, in the consolation round my team totally sucked and hence, not even a bronze.

The 2nd through 4th place teams had an incredible finish for placement that went down to the last game of the regular season.

Jr. sputtered in the next round of the playoffs after beating me and Dad played really good ball "when it counted" and deservedly won the championship.

That was such a fun season. Although, admittedly, when it concluded, I was :rain: :pout: :falloff:

We have a great group of managers but I'm really going to miss Kimmie being in the league this year. We had so much fun obsessing together. :gaah:

You'll love baseball, , Dwarf Mouthbrooder Betta. Every day there is action. Usually lots!!!

    Good luck, everyone.
