I'm thinking we need to start signups for fantasy football. They are likely going to settle July 21, 2011. The 2010 thread was started June 30., 2010. We are already almost two weeks behind. In any case, don't let Jammer know we are having a league.

We don't need to draft right now but it would be a good idea to start getting prepared so we aren't scrambling around like the real NFL will be. Like maybe get a good draft date reserved and people can start thinking about who they want on their teams.

Webz are you going to start up the league again this year? I'm guessing you are if we can locate you. If you are not then somebody else needs to do it. NOT DARTH! (Ok, Laimbeer: I know you are going to change my quote (maybe this sentence too) to make it look like I want to be Commissioner. Nope. Baseball is enough for me.

Actually, Laimbeer why don't you earn your keep as a moderator around here for a change and locate Webz or we might get stuck with Thee TFD as Commissioner. Think about it. If that is the case, I'm thinking of joining hockey instead.

    :hoops:

    Have a nice day.

Okay, I'm in. If WebZ doesn't want to commissionerate, I will do it.

Thanks for the heads up Drath.

I've created the league - it's a 5 minute job. Same settings as last year for now. There are some new features it seems, so take a look and see if there's anything you'd like to add or change.
What's new for the 2011 Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football season? | Fantasy Football Help

Arian Foster is ranked number 1! Interesting.

Once we've got the league full we'll work on draft times/dates.

Please use this thread to state your interest. Returning managers will get priority, but usually we are scrounging around for the last couple of managers so don't be afraid to put your hand up if you're new!

Billz - Once you have joined up I'll make you co-commish if you like. Two angry protagonists are better than one.

    I'm new...but if there's an opening...I'm in.

I've never done fantasy anything, [STRIKE]except with the wife[/STRIKE] so I'll take it easy on you my first season, if I get in...

As they say in AA, the first step to solving a problem is admitting you have one. I seem to have an addiction to fantasy sports. That said, I am SO in if you have room for a rookie. I am figuring it can't crash out much worse than my rookie fantasy baseball season has, and besides Aurora is definitely not afraid of steep learning curves. Bring it On. (It's such a good thing I have unlimited text messages and can bother Darth about every little thing in an unlimited way.)

Webz, it won't hurt my feelings if you want to be the commish. I can stay focused on improving on my top 10 finish last season.

    :hoops:

Darth, you leave so many openings to be made fun of, sometimes there are just too many choose from...

It's too easy to be a rookie in fantasy football, I won the regular season last year without hardly knowing who Peyton Brady is and never having played in any fantasy league before. To make sure this doesn't happen again I propose 1) rookies are at the bottom of the draft order 2) sophomores are at the top of the draft order 3) no snake draft. That should be enough to take care of this issue.

I did exactly the same thing. I've never won a football league since.

I agree with everything but the sophomore rule (#2). I think the seniors (insert senior citizen jokes) should be at the top. In fact, I propose we conspire against those rookies!

This is going to be a really fun league even with Laimbeer in it. There will be lots of smack going on.

Jammer's spot has an obstructed view and it smells funny.
