Yahoo Fantasy has multiple division option. Oh, and I'd like to join as well.
You know I wouldn't miss out on the chance to defend my title. Count me in. I'm in for basketball Advanced again too. However, in the Novice League, I've decided to retire as a champion.
That used to be pretty much mandatory. Not sure if it was stated outright, but it was pretty clear once you've won in a league it was time to move up. Novice is pretty much for people who never played fantasy basketball or people who played before but hasn't had much success. **cough Bill Laimbeer cough cough** I remember the first fantasy basketball leagues. Their were some people who put themselves in advanced who certainly had an inflated opinion of their skills and people in novice who lacked confidence or whatever and could blow the socks off the people who were thinking they were good just because they put themselves in a better league. You did the right thing! We've pretty much sorted things out but there are a couple of people who in all fairness, I believe should move up. A couple wbom I believe need to hone their skills more in novice. In the end it doesn't really matter, the kinks have pretty much been worked out and both leagues are competitive and fun. But Ive said it more than once...if you are in Advanced you better be up on your game. That league has some SERIOUS uber competitors. And I like it because, ironically, it seems to have the fewest problems. I've made the playoffs every year I've been in it I think, but it stresses me out and is responsible for more than one gray hair.
I've watched Beer draft Chris Johnson for years and suffer because the guy had one monster year. He had a very good preseason so I drafted him. I'll trade Chris for a 3rd string kicker.
Did you see the article on him today? Basically wfhat you just said, but also said how people consider him a bust from a fantasy perspective but hold it against him as a real life player when in real life he wasn't expected to be all that good anyhow.
LMAO. I have NEVER drafted Chris Johnson in my entire life.
Thee has a memory like a steel trap. If you didn't do it in this life perhaps you did it in a PREVIOUS life too? although that means you now known Thee in two different lives.. Some guys have all the luck.
The Titans RB, right. Then it was your son. I remember you whineing about.
I had Arian Foster before. I never whine.
Stick to your guns, Thee. You've got him on the ropes.
You stay out of this Mr. Potato Head. I checked the roster of every football team I ever managed. Chris Johnson never stepped foot on my team. Not sure if Junior ever had him. He beats me in football every year.
EVERYBODY beats you in football every year.
It does seem that way. Last year, I finished 5th out of 10 teams. (Not to mention any names, I did beat Drath Junior, Lame Junior, Nemo, Panda, and TFD.) Two years ago, I finished 7th out of 14 teams. I usually avoid last place, but that was because Jammer used to play in our league...
I was just messing with you. BUT now that you mention it, with that kind of record, I'm wondering why we keep letting you join the league? (A). Maybe because we were short guys after kicking out nemo for sucking too? or (B). as a courtesy to Laimbeer junior? Or (C). Or just maybe that is why you so readily stepped up into the Commissioner position? Or (D) so TFD would stop whining about you whining so much? Or (E) you allow me to send you 3,000 Word dissertations about our fantasy leagues every day? Well, at any rate, the important thing is we do keep letting you join. So I hope this post made you feel better about yourself. **we really need to work hard to get BDL to join the league next year so we don't need to let that bum in."
I did send BDL a personal invite to join our football league this year, but he never responded. Perhaps he has me on "Ignore"?
He responds to mine but he never accepts. He is pretty snobby about joining leagues outside of basketball, if you ask me.
I just don't dig football. I don't like the game or the meat-head mentality that goes along with it. As a fan of 'Detroit teams', I'm not down with the ownership group that happens to own our NFL franchise and I just can't bring myself to switch my allegiance to another team. I used to really like football but the "frustrating Fords" have made me want to ignor the game all together. I watch NBA hoops, some hockey and some playoff baseball. I find that Sundays during football season are a great time to get outside and do fun stuff. While everyone is at home watching the Broncos, I hit the ski resorts and go snowboarding with no lift-lines and uncrowded slopes.
Translation: I am afraid I wouldn't stack up against you guys.
Yeah, I see what you mean.
