Tater may or may not be posting to the forum anymore (his choice, not mine) so if you need help with the league, you'll have to post to the thread and the other guys in the league will do our best to assist. If there is a problem with league settings, you're up the creek so don't bother complaining. I'm also moving this thread to the fantasy forum.
Hope Tater will be around some. The Fantasy Hockey league won't be the some without him around to talk smack with. I miss the old guy already!!! :(
Tater will probably be around, but he privately admitted to me that he has lost his winning touch in fantasy leagues, and I think that is weighing heavily on his spirit. I'm more concerned about taking down the defending champ and Je Suis Jammertime anyway.
Well, with my CHAMPIONSHIP in the 2009 Basketball Keeper's League and my ensuing CHAMPIONSHIP in the 2009 Baseball League, perhaps you are focusing on the wrong opponent. Once I win the GRAND SLAM of pf.com fantasy sports, I will probably retire to let everyone else battle for a chance to win a trophy.
Baseball league is not close to being over, so don't hold your breath on winning anything other than your one little champiopnship in 2009. As I see it the rookie will have as many championships this year as you. for Hockey I actually have the best team so I am really the one on a roll.
I expect that the only rolling you will do is to roll over and die. Its people like you that make old men like me dream of brighter days ahead. You showed your ability last year.
I can't remember what happened last year. I do remember 2 years ago, though, when I finished runner-up and you finished 6th. Very respectable finish for you.
I've played three years. The first year I finished second to Tater and his "tatering." Two years ago I finished 6th as you noted. Last year I finished FIRST as I noted. And this year I will TWO-PEAT.
I love it. Too bad Tater is missing out on this, but really if you look at his posts over the last 6 months, he has been bringing less game than Jammerpants.
I was a rookie at hockey last year as well. Being the old man you are, you have been trying (and trying and trying) for what, maybe 36 years, and have one stinken trophey to show for it. Woody, it likely is this pure lack of ability that causes you to look towards those "better days" that lay ahead of you. Good luck with that, if history is any indication, you're days ahead will be just as bad as the past. But that being said, I am rooting for you to come in second.
