how many minuts do you think they will get
who will be in the 8,9 man rotation next season nazr billups rip wallace prince mcdyess delfino murray what yall think
I wouldn't be shocked if JMAX got some time, maybe 10 minutes a game, but that may be for Dale Davis. If Amir is with the bigs, he could become the new victory cigar. And I think Hunter will see some time as well. Maybe not as much as Murray, at least early in the season. If they're smart they'll keep him fresh.
I'd say Flip is good for 18~22 and Delfino for 12~14.
Flip = 20 - 22 Max - 10 and under Delfino, backing up tw positions 20 - 25
I hope we see this much from Delfino and JMax. I will be surprised if we see more than 12 from Flip. He better produce while he's out there, with Terry Porter looking over his shoulder waiting to steal his job. Or is that the wrong Flip?
Jmax 2 to 3 MPG Flip Jr. 12- 15 MPG Delfino 10 - 12 MPG Assuming no injuries
Flip and Delfino will both get at least 12 mpg, as pure backups for Rip and Tay respectively. If Flip plays backup point, and Delfino plays backup 2, then one will get 20 mpg, and the other 15 mpg, depending on whom Saunders thinks is the better 2 (which considering FS, he's already decided (Murray)). Come January, when TP takes over, I expect Delfino to play more minutes at the 2, and for Amir to start getting some minutes at the 3.
Army, I really hope you're right and Delfino and J-Max can get that many minutes. But I won't believe it until Flip does it. He can talk all he wants, but until I see those 2 players on the floor for extended minutes consistently, I'm not going to get my hopes up. Flip Sr. is too nervous for my liking. He rides the starters way too long and in the limited minutes the bench does get, at the slightest sign of adversity they're pulled. They don't get very much margin for error either. If one of them makes a bad play, they get a DNP for the a couple of games and then don't get another chance until the guy that was given their minutes makes a mistake.
I'm hoping Johnson gets some time. He has more potential than Maxiel because of his height. Let's see the kid play!
One of the interesting sub plots is where Amir plays... best guess is he plays in Soiux Falls for the most part of the year.... they seem to be grooming him mostly at SF. Eventually a decision will have to be made between Amir, Delfino & Jmax. I think we can say that Jmax is not part of the plans at SF... he hasn't played that position yet.
Amir will definitely be a PF in the NBA. He didn't really have the body for it last year, but that is where his future is. I can't recall where, but I think Dumars (or someone, Hammond, maybe) said this after the year. I think he spends most of this year in the D league getting experience and any impact he has for us will be after this year. I don't really think Max has a future here, but I know some/many here disagree.
Question for Low... did Amir play any PF in the SL? The two games I saw he played SF
I can`t say how many minutes, but basically Flip and Delfino is our bench, (unless Flip REALLY plays other folks) and that is what concerns me. Dyess will get his 18-22 MPG.
how many minutes will flip murray get how manyminuts will flip murray get how much will he play next season
Re: how manyminuts will flip murray get doublead, you already asked (2 days ago) how many minuts flip murray will get.
im sorry you guys my bad
I'm going to have to see a few preseason games before I get a feel about Murray and Delfino minutes. Like most people, I'm looking forward to a 9-10 man rotation this year.
