Hopefully Pistons Fans won't have to do the same thing. I woudln't be surprised if Seattle had a riot over Murray leaving, the way they were writing about him.

ouch, that site hurts. It seems like we got the virus now and it's time to get rid of it (according to this website).
    ouch!

Sounds like a Flips kinda guy. Sounds like he never made a bucket. Wade shoots mostly 11 footers or layups.
If he's a shooter you're going to live and die with his streeks.

Now we got a taller version of Mo Evans (as Micro said...without the 3pt shot) too! We got the market cornered!

Bet the rest of the league is shakin in their boots now! :ohwell:

If Joe isn't making a trade by midseason I give up.

Let's wait and see what happens. The moves this summer are certainly things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm.

BUT, Joe HAS surprised us before. Maybe Nazr and Flip Jr. will be a nice fit. We've vented as fans, but the players haven't even put on a Piston uniform yet.

I'm really going to try not to ruminate over the personnel changes until we are well into the season (say uhmmmm...5 games or so, LOL). :tape::fingerscr

 Agreed. We really don't have any idea what the chemistry will be like. It's easy to forget because of the playoff disappointment and Ben's exit that we still have a solid core of five who play well together. Considering the money and free agent availability factors after Ben left, Joe may have put together something serviceable here, at least for next season.

I do still think the big question is can Flip S. maximize the talent and potential of these particular players? Riley seemed to do that with his pieced together group, but of course he had Wade AND he chose the pieces himself. Flip M. is limited, but if used correctly for that "instant scoring" coming off the bench to end a shooting drought, I think he might work out and surprise us. Same with Nazr in his realm.

No matter what it will be interesting and generate reams of analysis by all PF.com armchair strategists. New material for us for every game!

BTW have we reached any consensus about nicknames for the Flips to distinguish them? It's becoming kind of irritating. Flip S. and Flip M. is boring. Coach Flip and Player Flip is way boring. Ideas?

Detroit fans get angry, they get frustrated but they never give up.

Of course I won't really give up, but I've never seen a great team that falls this quick. We probably will be right back contending if things go well from now on, but we went from high to low very quick.

Yeah, but Mo didn't make many 2-point shots if I recall. Flip has him beat there.

We fell one notch ! ECF loser. Gees the Fakers went from Finals loser to missing the playoffs.
You are really whinning a lot lately Himat.
I'll go so far as to say with Nazz we go 20 and 3 to start the season. Deal with it!

Yeah, we'll start 20-3 and Flip won't play the bench because he won't want to risk losing HCA.

I'd rather start 3-20 if the bench gets a lot of pt....okay maybe not, but if the bench plays and performs and we're 13-10 or 12-11 I won't be angry.

If he uses the bench enmass as a unit of 4 or 5, game in game out. And we get a 4 seed or better, cool. I don't care when we face the one seed. No excuses.
Then again I can be very shallow. I want the wins, nite in nite out.

That's a tad bit on the unrealistic side don't you think. I'd be suprised if we are 5 games over .500 after 23 games into the season. (14-9)
