I'll just add this. When you have strong personalities, as all championship teams do, you need a strong personality to coach them. Think about the last 20 years and you see coaches like Riley, Daly, Brown, Pops, and PHillip. The nice guys with little personalities just don't get it done. The teams don't respect them and they can't create an environment where the players are uncomfortable, especially when they are winning. This is why Doug Collins got booted in Chicago. And why Scotty Roberston was pushed out the door for Chuck. It's also why Flip Saunders won't finish a second season with Detroit.
Actually you would think a coach like Flip is all that is needed for a veteran team that supposedly knows how to get it done. The task masters are for the rookie team which needs to be whipped into shape. Like the Marinelli/Mooch scenario.
