To no ones surprise, Flip gets the nod over Doc. Nate takes the west.

Yeah a Coach of the Month of June would be nice, but it's difficult for him to coach past Memorial day. :)

Main difference is the defense. I think its the Michael Curry effect for the defense to turn around so fast. Pistons are playing almost as good as 04. Better than 05 for sure.

Difference is this years bench vs what we had the last two years and if they even got off the bench...plus our starters who were supposedly good athletes were just plain tired, even though they would never admit it to flip or Joe. But have to agree that maybe it is the Michael Curry influence??

I am still not convinced that this bench is better than the one we hand in 2004.

    In 2004 we had

    Okur
    Corliss
    Chucky
    James
    Hunter (four years younger)
    Elder

That was a pretty good bench.

    Oh and Darko too.

    :hoops:

If it is indeed Curry's influence, then it's gotta be another brilliant move by Joe to bring Michael in.

Yeah that bench was great, but the 05-06 and 06-07 bench with Hunter, Delk, Delfino and Mo Evans as the principle 7-9 guys were the reason Flip ran the starters into the ground.

Anyone see Curry on the Pistons bench lately? He looks like he has put on at least 30-40 pounds.

There, so there's your answer. Forget about the players, forget about Curry. It's all Flip's achievement. End of story.

He was getting heavier later in his career.

I don't think they are paying him for nothing. He is the only difference in the coaching from last year to this year.

No doubt he is making an impact. I was just observing his appearance has changed significantly since he was out there on the court.

Can I ask why there is concern over #12's poundage?

It's an off-day for the Pistons. You're talking about boxer shorts...:pound:
