No. I was just interpreting because a lot of people around here don't speak Cannuckian. LMAOOOOO. I was going to google "Cannuckian" to link it to a funny article or something...but...Oh man, you guys gotta go look. Just google "Cannuckian." LMAOOOOO.
Flip talking to himself: "How long is Flip going to get away with this total bullshoot excuse, that he forgets to play rotation players. Does he think we are stupid, or is he too stupid to be the coach?" Thanks scoe ;)
Flip: "I'm hungry. I think I'll go out to dinner." Translation: "I hate Amir Johnson. I do not know how to coach. I should be fired."
Gotta give him credit for a good quote every once in a while. This was right on. Flip, after that game tonight, you are getting a 24 hour free pass from me. Way to work Tay into the offense to make up for the absence of Mr. BS.
We don't look at that," coach Flip Saunders said. "Whether you have the one-seed, the two, it all kind of pans out. You have to win on the road. We haven't put a lot of emphasis that we have to catch Boston. Our main thing is let's take care of ourselves—we'll have a good record and see where it falls in." - On whether we want the 1 seed from the Celts. Translation: OMG I feel my job slipping away. I can't let the Celts GM blow by Joe so easily. 45 minutes for all the starters.
It seems a lot of folks were excited by Juan Dixon's play at the point against the Clippers and would like to see him get a shot at some backup minutes. I count myself in this group. Flip seems to be doing what he does best, though. Finding the negatives in his play so he doesn't have to work to try and get him some burn in that sick rotation(?) of his. To recount: · Billups misses Clippers game · Flip says Stuckey will start and will have to play "a lot because the only other PG is Hunter" o He wouldn't even mention Dixon by name · A reporter did ask about Dixon playing PG and Flip said he couldn't because (AJ fans say it with me) "he hasn't had any practice" · DET did practice, according to all the papers, the 2-3 days they were in LA · Flip had Dixon practice at the 2 guard spot o If he's lucky, Dixon is 6'3 and 165 pounds - he should flourish in that role Naturally, Dixon got about 25 minutes at the point against the Clips. I can only hope that this is another attempt by Flip to crush the collective spirit of Pistons fans everywhere. Similar to the time he said that the rotation was being shortened and AA was out only to have AA be the 1st man off the bench for the next 6-8 games.
Translation: This is Flip's last bite at the apple. If he doesn't trust the zoo crew in the playoffs, then I'm going to have to fill out some paperwork to get Flip's buyout approved. It's such a pain in the butt. 3 seperate forms plus a conversation with Bill D.
Yea, I hate when a coach brings in a guy that shoots 6-for-6, runs the offense, gets 5 assists, and plays some defense. There is simply no need for that kind of production.
Yep. Dixon is just a "chucker" pretty much indistinguishable from every other conscienceless journeyman bench guard in the Association. At least that's what I heard.
But ain't that the point? Everything he has said before and after the game is that he can't play the point. Why would you go out of your way to knock his PG abilities and then turn around and play him exclusively at the point? Why, because he's Flip Saunders.
Everything I read said he was a combo guard. He can run an offense okay, but the guy can really score. He's only 6'3", so he might not match up defensively against a big SG. With Stuckey, Dixon, and Hunter, it seems like you've got 3 backup point guards with very different skill sets and experience levels.
Translation: "It was a good trip. Got to see some pretty mountains in Denver and Utah. Me and Igor saw Tony Danza at Starbucks in Pasadena and I got his autograph! I'm a big Who's the Boss fan! Oh CRAP! We left Amir at LAX! Hey turn Roundball-One around, we forgot Amir again!!!"
Flip: "It looks like the forecast is calling for heavy snow in the Detroit area tomorrow." Translation: "I hate Amir Johnson. I do not know how to coach. I should be fired."
