CHART: Going Over The Salary Cap Pays Off In The NBA - Business Insider
So if you spend more money on talent, you're gonna win more games? Everything I knew about the NBA was WRONG!
The tail is not wagging the dog. It should be painfully obvious that being a championship contender usually pushes you over the salary cap. That BusinessInsider website is no Forbes, that's for sure.
Prokhorov will be paying $70 million in lux tax this season after he basically added the Celtics entire roster to his Nets guys. Yikes!
that's like one of us blowing a grand on our favorite hobby.
True. But man, that dude basically pays the Nets salary, the salary of a 2nd team and then he chips in enough to cover the starting lineup of a 3rd team.
And it still isn't enough because they're all old and he doesn't have Lebron.
Who is old, Brook Lopez, Deron Williams and Joe Johnson? The Nets added the C's guys. They're not expecting them to lead them for 40 mpg. I like these moves. The Nets got better and should be a tough out in the playoffs. Sent from my iPhone using the keyboard.
