Re: Sportscenter: Pistons Reach Deal With Villenueva WOW!!! We got a steal. Signing Charlie "No Brows" is reminding me alot of the Chauncey signing, 1 year - in the right situation- you produce, and it becomes your coming out party. Hell let's keep Rip; Trade Tay, Stuckey& Max for Ray Allen and have us a sho' nuff' UConn Huskie squad!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can anyone find Khalid El-Amin, is he under 300lbs????
Re: ESPN Reports Gordon AND Villanueva sign Gordon was saying that he would allow Bulls to match an offer, but I guess it is all water under the bridge now: Former Chicago Bulls guard Ben Gordon on verge of signing with the Detroit Pistons -- chicagotribune.com
Re: ESPN Reports Gordon AND Villanueva sign I'm half and half on this one, I'm not sold on Gordon at all, not sure if he can play in our system and our frontcourt isn't strong enough to pick up his slack on the defensive end.
Re: ESPN Reports Gordon AND Villanueva sign Pistons strike deal with Gordon - NBA - Yahoo! Sports Gordon: 5 year $55M CV: 5 year $35M
Re: ESPN Reports Gordon AND Villanueva sign With waiving Oberto we have somewhere between 4-5 million. His $1.7 million is actually going to come in handy.
I've merge all the Gordon Villanueva threads into this one and renamed the title to no longer reflect the rumor aspect. Thanks to everyone for posting timely articles. All I can say is, we ain't done yet.
I have been reading all of the bitter comments from Bulls fans on blogabull.com. Very fun. It just seems like this will have the opposite effect of the Ben Wallace signing. We come out on the better end with the BG signing for sure and hurt the Bulls in the process.
Re: ESPN Reports Gordon AND Villanueva sign Indeed. This means Joe can still take back more than he gives in a trade, saving the other team $5 million or so in cap space while also sending them an all star guard. I'm stoked.
Isn't this some ironic u-no-whut, They steal our Ben and get a guy way past his prime that gave them absolutely nothing, we steal their Ben (For less money than it took for them to steal our Ben) and we get a sharp shooter in his mid 20's who seems as if he's finally starting to come into his own.............I think I'm gonna go listen to James Brown's, "The Big Payback"
I guess it is sort of fun to set our sister city arch nemesis back in the process of improving our ballclub vastly, LOL! I've got to figure Joe has some type of gravy deals lined up to trade of Tay or Rip, most likely Rip... It better be for HIGH quality big or something... Still not happy about what this may mean for #32's future here, but I am glad to have some new and good talent in the holster again!
It all depends on the Rip trade. As of now: Chauncey was traded for Ben Gordon and Charlie V. Not good Enough
