That would be awesome if we could do a Rip for Wizards high draft pick which will likely be in the top 3.

We would also get some of the Wizards expiring contract and would free up more money by ridding themselves of Rip's contract.

It is widely known that the Wizards organization would like to trade their pick for an established veteran.

Rip to the Wizards? That would be ironic.

I agree. A high draft pick, if the talent pool is good, is a strong way to re-build a team. Not keen on Gordon, build up the front court first. Don't want a team full of munchkins.

If we could pull that off, we'd be able to get either Thabeet or DeRozan. exxxxccccellllllent.

Ok, I know this may not work but I tried it in espn's trade machine and it worked.

    NBA Trade Machine - ESPN

3 team trade with the Pistons, Raptors and Mavericks.

    Detroit Trades:
    Rip to Dallas
    Tay and Maxiel to Toronto

    Toronto Trades:
    Bosh to Detroit

    Dallas Trades:
    Howard to Detroit

I don't know if Dallas does this deal, but Josh Howard has been in the dog house the last year. I think we would need to pick up a sharp shooter to fill in for Rip maybe draft Curry? But then we couldn't expect him to just step right in and put up 18/game. For the Center issue, we could maybe go after Kaman or Chandler.

I think a lot depends on the draft lottery as well. If Washington wins it and picks Griffin then they have to clear space to sign him after his rookie contract. Maybe we could steal Jamison?

Ideally I would love to get Chandler and put him next to Bosh. I think they would complement each other well.

Just throwing out ideas b/c I'm bored.

the worst thing about off season is that no one has anything to talk about but various realistic or unrealistic trade scenarios and players they want or don't want. Let them play!

What else are you supposed to talk about? That is why it's called the "OFF SEASON". You can't talk about how great Stuckey played last night b/c we are out of the playoffs.

No, we are still in it and Curry was named coach of the year. Amir came out of no where and won the 6th man of the year and most improved player award as well.

Whew. I was having this nightmare where no one showed up to chat, Joe decided to keep Curry after the most embarrassing sweep in franchise history, and Lee356 swore off doing game recaps.

The nightmare for me was game 3 at home when there were empty seats and B*tch ass Cavaliever fans with stupid brooms at the palace. I just kept yelling "WalMart Cavalier Fans" for jumping on the bandwagon. It was depressing, but at least I wasn't sober so that made it tolerable and let me be more obnoxious to their fans.
