Let's see if he actually will be a Piston, since JD is still trying to get Cousins, according to a report from Yahoo

Let's see how far he can put his leg up on the wall before we talk about trading him.

"We drafted him to keep him" - Joe Dumars. This is what you could say is music to my ears! Nothing but praise so far for the big man.

Monroe is not a bad pick at #7. He was the only logical choice and MAY turn out better than Cousins. You're just in a bad mood because Denmark lost to the Japanese in World Cup Soccer today. :sssh::stirthepot:

YES!! and it wont get better for a long time !!! if we just could get a great goalkeeper, we would have won that game 1-0!! those %%%%ing japanese scored two goals on free-kicks 30 m. away, so it is really disapointing

At least we picked a big man. Have to be happy with that.

If he is really a great passer, then maybe we can get the ball moving without a pass first PG.

I'm happy with Monroe. I think he might be a keeper. Either way, he is a Piston. Joe isn't doing very much tonight (as usual).

@LValgren, please watch the curse filter.

Every mock I saw had Joe taking Aldrich. I wonder what swayed him toward Monroe?

I'm disappointed that Joe D didn't trade up, but at least this guy is no Darko.

Of course, maybe Joe D tried to trade up and nobody was biting.

I think this guy can play. I'm almost happy we didn't get Cousins. We got a quality young big man, and we still have trade assets. There was something about Cousins that bothered me.
